Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Nintendo described the third entry in the turn-based RPG series as a story about Riders who live in harmony with monsters. Its premise begins with an environmental calamity and a monster hatching with a symbol of misfortune, as two neighboring kingdoms move toward war. Nintendo announced it for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. Nintendo’s recap also featured the official spotlight headline “Twin Rathalos, Born in a Twist of Fate.”

The 2025 announcement set its release for December 4, 2025, on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The figure of over 30 is Nintendo’s description, not an independent count. Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What kind of showcase was it?
This was a broad third-party partner presentation, not a single-franchise event. It mixed new RPG reveals with editions, remakes, ports, downloadable content and updates about release timing. The useful way to compare its announcements is to check each game’s platform and timing alongside whether it is a new game, a re-release or an add-on; a Switch version and a Switch 2 edition should not be treated as interchangeable.
