Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 added The Thing and Human Torch, a Central Park Convergence map, a new mid-season ranked split, and a broad set of balance and quality-of-life changes. It was the February 2025 mid-season update for Season 1, Eternal Night Falls; its event drops and store items were time-limited, so this is a historical overview rather than a claim that those rewards remain available.
When Season 1.5 launched
Marvel Rivals’ official version 20250221 patch notes were published on February 20, 2025. They said Season 1.0 would conclude on February 21, 2025, at 08:00 UTC, marking the transition to Season 1.5. The update continued the first season, Eternal Night Falls, rather than starting a wholly new numbered season. Read the official Season 1.5 patch notes.

The new Central Park map expanded the game’s Convergence mode. Together with the two heroes, it was the update’s main playable-content addition.
Events, Twitch Drops, and costumes
Season 1.5 continued the seasonal story content with Midnight Features II. Its first Twitch Drops round offered the Two-in-One spray and Hela’s Great Galaxy emote. The patch notes said a second round with a new costume reward was expected later in the mid-season, with exact timing to be announced; that announcement is not a guarantee that the reward is still claimable.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
- Redemption: Online
A competitive name-hiding option became available at Diamond III and above. These were season-specific reward and eligibility details from the 2025 update, not a statement about the current ranked season.
Gameplay, account, and quality-of-life changes
- Overtime gained 0.5 seconds of grace time across modes.
- Quick Mode stopped searching for substitute matchmaking players when a match was close to ending.
- Match-start loading was optimized.
- Career statistics separated S1.0 and S1.5 data and added a Tournament filter.
- An account deletion option was added.
- AFK timers paused while players waited to respawn.
- Reticle changes were uploaded to server storage.
PC and console changes
PC graphics and latency features
On PC, the update added NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs and AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 for Radeon RX 5000 Series and newer GPUs. It also fixed frame pacing for AMD FSR3 Frame Generation. These are platform-specific feature support changes; RTX 50 Series hardware was relevant to the optional DLSS feature, not a general requirement to play the update.

The official balance post covered Vanguards, Duelists, Strategists, and Team-Up abilities. The examples below show the range of changes; they are not a complete hero-by-hero changelog.
Vanguards
- Captain America: He could use Living Legend to shield himself mid-leap. Vibranium Energy Saw projectile speed increased from 60 to 80 m/s, and Freedom Charge’s energy cost fell from 3100 to 2800.
- Doctor Strange: Base health dropped from 650 to 600.
- Groot: Thornlash Wall placement range increased from 15 to 18 meters.
- Magneto: Iron Volley damage increased, while Metallic Curtain consumed more energy and had a shorter maximum duration.
- Venom: Feast of the Abyss energy cost fell from 2800 to 2500.
Duelists
- Black Widow: Rifle magazine capacity rose from 8 to 15. Her ultimate’s slow effect was reduced and a vulnerability effect was added.
- Hawkeye: Base health increased from 250 to 275, alongside changes to Blast Arrow, Crescent Slash, and Hunter’s Sight.
- Iron Fist: He received a broad damage and health rebalance, including a base-health increase from 250 to 300.
- Iron Man: Unibeam damage increased both normally and during Armor Overdrive.
- Mister Fantastic: Flexible Elongation gained a wider landing field and knockback but had a longer recharge. Brainiac Bounce damage and energy cost both increased, with distance-based damage decay.
- Moon Knight: Hand of Khonshu’s damage-trigger logic changed.
Strategists and Team-Ups
Several Strategist ultimates became more expensive: Cloak & Dagger’s Eternal Bond, Invisible Woman’s Invisible Boundary, Loki’s God of Mischief, and Luna Snow’s Fate of Both Worlds. Their accompanying tradeoffs differed. For instance, Eternal Bond’s healing per segment increased, but its duration decreased and overlapping healing no longer stacked.
Team-Up adjustments included stronger healing and slow for Luna Snow’s Atlas Bond effect; shorter rewind times and a higher lost-health-to-blue-armor conversion for Dimensional Shortcut; reduced Gamma Overdrive damage and a smaller Hulk anchor health bonus; healing for Moon Knight inside Lunar Force’s Full Moon area; and invincibility replacing damage reduction during portions of Symbiote Bond’s Suit/Armor Expulsion. For exact values and every affected ability, consult the official Season 1.5 balance post.
