Evomon currently has five weather events reported by independent game guides: Sunny, Rain, Volcanic Eruption, Sandstorm, and Thunderstorm. Their effects are type-sensitive, and guides say the weather changes roughly every 15 minutes across the world. Because no developer-maintained weather specification was located, treat the chart as a practical guide, check the weather indicator in your current build, and confirm an effect in battle before changing a team or route.
The five Evomon weather events at a glance
This table reflects the effects consistently reported by current guide coverage. “Reported” is important: the detailed mechanics come from independent guides rather than a primary developer document, and some values remain unspecified.

| Weather event | Reported type interaction | Reported battle result | Timing or location note | Evidence status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sunny | All types | No battle effect reported | Often described as the common or default condition | Medium confidence; listed by multiple guides |
| Rain | Water-type Evomon | Water types gain Speed while rain continues; some guides describe one Speed point or stack each turn | Exact unit and persistence should be checked in the current battle | Medium confidence; effect is consistent, value is not established |
| Volcanic Eruption | Evomon that are not Fire type | Non-Fire Evomon accumulate Burn during battle | Lava Crag is reported to have this weather permanently | Medium confidence; location behavior needs confirmation |
| Sandstorm | Evomon that are neither Rock nor Earth type | Those Evomon take damage over time | No damage amount is established | Medium confidence; guides agree on the interaction |
| Thunderstorm | Evomon that are not Electric type | Non-Electric Evomon may be inflicted with Paralysis | “May” indicates a possible status, not a guaranteed application | Medium confidence; current implementation is unverified |
The complete five-state list appears in TechWiser’s weather overview and AllThings. How’s battle guide. Pro Game Guides also lists the same events while labeling its weather section a work in progress.

How the weather cycle reportedly works
Guide coverage says the world’s weather changes at roughly 15-minute intervals and that the active condition applies across the world rather than being limited to one small encounter area. The interval and global scope are gameplay claims from guides, not a published developer rule, so they can change with an update or differ from what a particular build displays.

Use the on-screen weather indicator as the authority for the moment you are playing. If the indicator changes during a long farming session, a route that was favorable a few minutes earlier may no longer be favorable. Do not schedule a boss attempt around an exact 15-minute timer unless you have observed that timing in your own version.
Sunny: the neutral baseline
Sunny is reported as having no battle effect. Guides commonly call it the default or most common condition, which makes it the baseline against which the other four events are noticed. There is no reported type bonus, damage-over-time effect, or status risk attached to Sunny.
What Sunny means for team building
Because no weather modifier is reported, keep the team that already covers the encounter’s types and moves. Sunny is not a reason by itself to rebuild a roster, postpone a fight, or detour to another area. It can be useful as a control condition when you are checking whether a suspected Rain, Sandstorm, or Thunderstorm effect is real: observe the same type matchup under Sunny, then compare it after the indicator changes.

Rain: a reported Speed benefit for Water types
Rain is associated with Water-type Evomon gaining Speed while the rain continues. Several guides describe the gain as one Speed point or one stack per turn, but the available material does not establish whether “point” means a visible stat point, a temporary stage, or another in-game unit. Treat the interaction as real enough to test, not as a fixed numerical formula.
Practical use of Rain
If your Water-type Evomon is close to moving before an opponent, Rain may change the order of actions and make an otherwise risky fight safer. Start the battle with the Water type you want to observe, note its displayed or effective Speed, and watch whether the change occurs immediately or after a turn. Keep in mind that the reported benefit lasts only while Rain continues; a weather change can remove the advantage.
What to verify
- Whether the bonus applies to every Water type or only to certain moves or encounters.
- Whether the increase is a single cumulative stack each turn, a one-time adjustment, or a different effect in your build.
- Whether switching out, fainting, or a weather change removes accumulated Speed.
Until those points are visible in the current game, avoid replacing a team member solely because Rain is active.

Volcanic Eruption: Burn pressure on non-Fire Evomon
During Volcanic Eruption, guides report that Evomon without the Fire type accumulate Burn in battle. Burn is presented as a weather-driven hazard rather than a move that an opponent must cast. The reports do not specify the damage, timing, stacking behavior, or whether Fire types are completely immune, so verify each of those details in your game.
Lava Crag exception
Lava Crag is reported to have Volcanic Eruption permanently. That makes the area a special route-planning case: a team that works elsewhere may enter every Lava Crag fight under the same environmental pressure. The permanent-weather claim is guide-reported, not confirmed by a developer notice, so check the location’s indicator after updates.
Preparing for the area
Before committing to a long Lava Crag run, test one non-Fire Evomon and one Fire Evomon in a low-risk encounter. Record when Burn appears and whether it changes your healing or switching decisions. If your current build confirms the reported pattern, Fire coverage can reduce exposure, but it should complement normal matchup coverage rather than replace it.

Sandstorm: damage over time outside Rock and Earth
Sandstorm is reported to damage Evomon over time when they are not Rock or Earth type. The guides do not establish how much damage occurs, whether it is dealt at the end of each turn, or whether the effect scales with level, battle mode, or another stat. “Rock or Earth” should be read as the type labels used by your current game; do not assume a similar-looking type name qualifies.
Route and battle decisions
When Sandstorm is active, favor Evomon that meet the reported Rock or Earth exemption if they are otherwise suitable for the encounter. For a mixed team, track health loss over several turns before deciding whether the weather is material; a short battle may end before the damage matters, while a drawn-out fight can make it decisive. Carry a recovery plan for non-exempt members and avoid inferring a precise damage percentage from a single hit.

Thunderstorm: a Paralysis risk for non-Electric Evomon
Thunderstorm is linked to possible Paralysis on Evomon that are not Electric type. The wording “may be inflicted” indicates a chance or conditional trigger, not a guaranteed status on every turn. No source establishes the probability, duration, action penalty, or whether a status immunity beyond the Electric typing exists.

Testing the status interaction
Use a non-Electric Evomon in a safe encounter and note the turn on which Paralysis appears, if it appears at all. Compare that result with an Electric-type teammate under the same indicator. If the status does occur, determine whether it persists after switching or after the weather changes before relying on a particular cleanse or substitution plan.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to plan around weather without overreacting
Weather is best treated as a planning modifier, not an instruction to discard your roster. Use this sequence before a boss fight or extended farming route:
- Read the indicator. Confirm the exact weather wording shown in your current game before entering the encounter.
- Identify exposed members. Mark Water types that could benefit from Rain, non-Fire members facing Volcanic Eruption, non-Rock/non-Earth members facing Sandstorm, and non-Electric members facing Thunderstorm.
- Check the encounter first. Keep your normal type coverage, level range, healing supply, and move plan in view. A weather advantage is not automatically better than a well-matched existing team.
- Run a low-risk confirmation. If the effect matters to your decision, observe one turn or one short encounter and record what actually happens.
- Choose the smallest adjustment. Switch one team member, add recovery, or shorten the farming route before rebuilding the entire team or waiting for another weather state.
- Recheck after the cycle changes. A route or team decision based on Rain, for example, may no longer apply once the indicator changes.
Claims you should not make from weather alone
- Shiny or rare encounter odds: The available weather coverage does not prove that any condition increases shiny, rare, or otherwise special encounter rates. Do not treat a weather event as an odds boost without direct evidence.
- Exact numerical modifiers: Apart from the guides’ approximate description of Rain Speed gain, no exact Speed value, Sandstorm damage, Burn damage, Paralysis chance, or duration is established.
- Permanent global rules: The five-state chart, the approximate cycle, and Lava Crag’s permanent Volcanic Eruption are reported observations, not guaranteed behavior for every future build.
- Automatic immunity by resemblance: Only the named type interactions are reported. Do not extend Rock, Earth, Fire, Electric, or Water protection to an unlisted type without checking the battle result.
How to verify a weather effect in your current build
The Evomon Weather Guide recommends a test-first record rather than assuming that an older chart remains exact. For each observation, capture enough context that another player could reproduce it.

- Record the opponent and the relevant player and opponent types.
- Note the turn number, visible status, health change, Speed order, or other effect before and after the weather interaction.
- Repeat the observation in a second encounter when possible, especially for a chance-based status such as Thunderstorm Paralysis.
- Save a screenshot or video and note whether the weather changed during the battle.
This log separates a weather effect from an opponent move, an ability, a level difference, or a temporary battle rule. It also gives you a reliable reference when a patch changes the indicator or type system.
Evidence status and update expectations
TechWiser’s guide, dated July 8, 2026, reports all five events and the approximate 15-minute world cycle. AllThings. How, updated July 8, 2026, reports matching effects and timing. Pro Game Guides lists the same five states but marks its section as unfinished. The dedicated Evomon weather guide presents the chart as a reported checklist and emphasizes checking the in-game UI. None of these sources is a primary developer specification, and no direct developer statement was found that settles the exact values or confirms that every effect remains unchanged.
For that reason, the safest current interpretation is straightforward: Sunny is neutral; Rain is favorable to Water Speed; Volcanic Eruption threatens non-Fire Evomon with Burn; Sandstorm harms non-Rock/non-Earth members over time; and Thunderstorm can Paralyze non-Electric members. Verify the indicator and the observed result whenever the outcome matters.
