Alexandria and its castle
Begin by checking Alexandria’s public areas and its castle. Search containers and decorative objects rather than only obvious treasure chests. Castle rooms often reward a deliberate sweep of side chambers, storage areas and corners that are easy to skip while following the main path.

Midura, the mines and Elfame
Continue through Midura and the mines, then sweep Elfame. Mines and wooded settlements reward a slow pass along dead ends and around environmental objects. If a corridor appears to end at a wall or a cluster of scenery, test it for a hidden passage before moving on.
Tarnhelm Temple, Palscea and the palace
Tarnhelm Temple and Palscea’s palace add dungeon and royal-building searches to the route. Complete each branch before leaving. A room that looks like a combat detour can still contain a coin in a pot, chest or other object.
Framheim and Ice Cave
Framheim and the Ice Cave are another paired sweep. In the cave, track forks on your map or with written notes so that an icy side path is not mistaken for a previously searched route. Return to blocked sections when the story grants the required access.
Vangaria, Tyrcus and the Abbey of St. Lilia
Search Vangaria, Tyrcus and the Abbey of St. Lilia as separate checklists. Town containers can blend into scenery, while an abbey’s rooms may encourage you to follow the central path and overlook side areas. Interact with every suspicious object before marking a location complete.
Pirate Headquarters, Mersina and Leviathan
Include Pirate Headquarters and Mersina, then take special care in Leviathan. The walkthrough explicitly marks the Ancient Coin in Leviathan map 3 as missable. Collect it before finishing that area; do not rely on being able to return after the final sequence. Make a manual save before entering map 3 if you are collecting everything, and confirm the coin has increased your total before advancing.

Sea Cave and Arthur’s House
The Sea Cave and Arthur’s House contain additional checks. Caves can hide coins behind branching paths or environmental clutter, while a house search should include furniture and containers rather than only the visible floor.
Avalon and underwater areas
Avalon and the underwater sections broaden the search beyond normal ground movement. Underwater seaweed is specifically named among the objects worth examining. Sweep the seabed systematically, including edges and apparently empty pockets, and revisit areas when new traversal abilities make previously unreachable spaces accessible.
Calnaneau and the Fairy Forest
Calnaneau is both an exchange destination and part of the location route. Finish your local collection before trading if you want to know your maximum available balance. Then search the Fairy Forest carefully; vegetation and less conspicuous terrain can conceal interaction points.
The Moon, Al Sheba’s pyramid and the Tower to Heaven
Late-game searches include the Moon, Al Sheba and its pyramid, and the Tower to Heaven. These areas should be treated as separate completion checkpoints. The pyramid and tower are progression-heavy locations, so clear every accessible branch before triggering an exit or final encounter. The Moon may require a return trip depending on your story progress; record any unreachable route instead of counting it as empty.

- Barrels, pots and wardrobes, including objects placed against walls.
- Flower beds, grass and other patches of terrain that do not look like containers.
- Wells and spaces around their rims or entrances.
- Chests, including those in side rooms or behind a route fork.
- Underwater seaweed and other seabed scenery.
- Mimics and suspicious treasure objects; approach prepared for a battle rather than assuming every chest is safe.
- Hidden spaces behind scenery or at the end of apparently dead paths.
Interact from multiple angles when the game permits it. If an object does not respond, note its position and return after a story event or new ability. This prevents repeated blind searches and helps distinguish a gated location from a missed coin.
A practical Ancient Coin collection method
- Create a region checklist. Write down each named area—such as Alexandria, Midura, Leviathan or the Moon—and leave space for individual rooms or map numbers.
- Clear ordinary objects first. Sweep barrels, wardrobes, pots, flower beds, wells, grass, chests and seaweed before leaving the map.
- Trace every branch. Enter dead ends and side rooms, and test suspicious walls or scenery for hidden spaces.
- Record gated passages. Mark a blocked route with the required story condition if you know it, then revisit after progression.
- Protect the Leviathan pickup. In map 3, obtain the explicitly missable coin before completing the area. Verify the total changed before moving on.
- Review late-game maps separately. Check Avalon, underwater areas, Calnaneau, Fairy Forest, the Moon, Al Sheba’s pyramid and the Tower to Heaven as their own completion groups.
- Spend only after checking your goal. Because exchanges deduct coins, compare your balance with the reward table before purchasing. Keep a save if you are unsure which item you want first.
How to choose exchange rewards
The guide lists three 10-coin rewards, two 20-coin rewards, one 40-coin reward and two 60-coin rewards. There is no verified official recommendation for an ideal purchase order, and the available material does not provide item-effect data sufficient to rank them for every character or play style.

- Trying to obtain several prizes? Add the costs before exchanging. A 60-coin purchase can delay three 20-coin purchases or six 10-coin purchases because the total is permanently reduced by the exchange.

Recheck containers and environmental objects first, then inspect every branch and hidden-looking corner. Compare your notes with the guide’s area names rather than relying on memory of the overall route.

Record it as gated and return after the next major story event. The broad route includes castles, temples, caves, underwater maps and late-game locations, so not every listed pickup is expected to be available immediately.

You finished Leviathan without the map 3 coin
The walkthrough identifies this pickup as missable. Check an earlier save if you want a complete collection; otherwise, accept that the current playthrough may not reach the guide’s full inventory.
The guide’s total seems different from yours
The numbered inventory reaching 141 is community-guide content, not an official completeness statement. Differences can result from an omitted entry, a version change, a missed coin, or a counting convention. Use the guide as a route and checklist, not as proof that every release has the same total.
