EXODUS is scheduled to launch on April 7, 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The “new trailer” in the original headline is The Rise of Jun Aslan, which premiered at The Game Awards on December 11, 2025—not a trailer for an upcoming show.
When does EXODUS come out?
Archetype Entertainment announced the specific date, April 7, 2027, on August 25, 2026, replacing its earlier broad “Early 2027” release window. The studio’s release-date announcement and its FAQ, updated that day, give the same date.

What was the EXODUS trailer at The Game Awards?
Archetype announced on November 25, 2025 that a new EXODUS trailer would premiere at The Game Awards on December 11. Hasbro’s event-day announcement confirms that The Rise of Jun Aslan debuted during the 2025 show.
The trailer follows Jun Aslan’s journey from salvager toward becoming humanity’s last hope. Hasbro’s description highlights player choices, stealth and open combat, companions, and C.C. Orlev, a character portrayed by Matthew McConaughey. Archetype’s preview framed the story around “what it takes to rise from salvager to humanity’s last hope—and the impossible cost of that journey.”

Chad Robertson, Archetype Entertainment’s VP of Game Development, said in Hasbro’s December 11 release: “EXODUS is a story about humanity’s resilience and the heroism that can emerge in our darkest hours,”
What kind of game is EXODUS?
Archetype and publisher Wizards of the Coast describe EXODUS as a single-player, third-person sci-fi action-adventure RPG set 40,000 years in the future. That figure describes the game’s fictional setting, not a real-world date or scientific measurement. The official FAQ outlines the premise and platforms.
Developer and publisher materials describe a story shaped by moral choices, with stealth or open-combat approaches, companions, and character progression. June 2026 gameplay notes also say players can customize Jun’s appearance and choose a male or female Traveler. Paladin and Immortal paths affect progression. These are official descriptions, not independent hands-on findings.

Are EXODUS preorders open, and how much will it cost?
As of the FAQ update on August 25, 2026, preorders were not live. The FAQ said pricing, editions, and bonuses would be shared when preorder details were announced; it did not provide a price or preorder date.
