Former IO Interactive COO Zoher Toutanji and former Plarium creative director Roberto Schiavulli founded Chamo Games, a Malmö-based studio whose debut project was announced in 2024 as a physics-based, non-lethal first-person shooter for PC and consoles. The announcement named three investors but disclosed no funding amount. The project’s current title and status have not been confirmed in the cited coverage.
Who founded Chamo Games?
Chamo Games was founded by Zoher Toutanji and Roberto Schiavulli. GamesBeat reported that Toutanji had been COO at IO Interactive, the studio behind Hitman, while Schiavulli had been creative director at Plarium, developer of Raid: Shadow Legends. The new studio was based in Malmö, Sweden.
The founders brought experience from different parts of game development and studio leadership, but their previous employers do not establish that Chamo’s debut game is connected to either Hitman or Raid: Shadow Legends.

PocketGamer.biz reported on August 8, 2024, that the studio was finalizing a first playable build at that time. That report does not establish whether the build was completed or what happened to the project afterward.
Who backed the studio, and how large was its team?
GamesBeat named Lakestar, Sisu Game Ventures, and Griffin Gaming Partners as backers. The financial details were not disclosed, so there is no confirmed investment amount to report.

GamesBeat also reported that the team had grown from the two founders to 25 people between September 2023 and March 2024, with staff working remotely. That is a dated team-size figure, not a verified current headcount.
What did the studio say about its approach?
Chamo’s studio-authored page says it prioritizes gameplay and involving players in development, and invited interested players to join playtests through Discord. The company put its philosophy this way: “At Chamo Games, we believe that the core of any great game is its gameplay.” This is a statement of intent, not independent evidence about the quality of the game or the results of playtesting.

What is known about Chamo Games now?
The cited launch-era coverage does not confirm a title, release date, current development status, present team size, or availability for the game. The 2024 descriptions establish what the studio and its backer announced then; they are not enough to say that the project remains in development in 2026.
