F-Zero GX gold parts are special components for custom machines—not a separate gold-only performance upgrade. The documented original method transferred them from F-Zero AX; a report published October 10, 2026 describes newly surfaced controller-input sequences as another way to unlock them. Once available, buy or select the parts in the F-ZERO Shop and combine them in customization.
What gold parts unlock
Gold parts are in-game components for custom machines. A custom build uses three categories: a body, a cockpit, and a booster. The official customization information explains the performance roles of those categories, but does not establish an extra gameplay bonus that applies simply because a part is gold.

- Body: affects stability and collision strength.
- Cockpit: affects control and cornering grip.
- Booster: affects top speed and boost acceleration.
In other words, treat each gold part according to its category and the attributes the game displays, rather than assuming gold means better performance.
How the original AX transfer worked
The historically documented route required playing F-Zero AX with a GameCube memory card containing GX data and a special F-ZERO license card. At the end of play, the special parts were downloaded to the memory card; in F-Zero GX they then appeared in the F-ZERO Shop. This was an event-era method dependent on access to the arcade game and special cards, rather than a normal GX unlock.

Recently reported four-controller sequences
A Nintendo Everything report dated October 10, 2026 lists five gold-parts sequences. It says to enter each sequence using four controllers simultaneously and reports compatibility with the original GameCube release and the Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo Classics edition. The sequences below are transcribed from that secondary report; they are not independently verified here or confirmed by Nintendo.

How to equip gold parts in a custom machine
- Make the parts available in your save using an applicable unlock route.
- Open the F-ZERO Shop and purchase the custom parts, if the game presents them for purchase.
- Go to customization or the Garage and assemble a machine from a body, cockpit, and booster.
- Check the displayed attributes as you choose components. Compare the relevant category stats and the overall weight for the build you want.
The instruction booklet describes the purpose plainly: “Purchase custom parts to create an original machine.” A gold component is not a physical item you need to own; it is an in-game part.

Use the machine you want to create as the guide. For a body, weigh stability and collision strength; for a cockpit, consider control and cornering grip; for a booster, compare top speed and boost acceleration. Also check the combined machine’s weight and the attributes shown in the game. No gold-color-only performance advantage is established by the official material described here.
