What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Start by restarting your Nintendo Switch, then check for a Fall Guys update. If that does not help, use the steps for your specific symptom: a first-time loading hang, a stalled download, and a login or matchmaking failure need different checks.
Start with a restart and game update
- Hold the Switch power button for at least three seconds, select Power Options, then choose Restart. If the console is unresponsive, hold the power button for 12 seconds to force it to shut down, then turn it back on. These are the steps in Epic’s Switch troubleshooting guide.
- After the restart, check whether Fall Guys has a software update available and install it before trying deeper repairs.
If the game still will not start or becomes unresponsive, use the corrupted-data check in the Switch software options. If that does not resolve the problem, Epic recommends uninstalling and reinstalling Fall Guys. The guide does not detail how every local setting or data item is handled, so do not assume all local information is preserved. Epic’s guide directs players to Nintendo Switch Support if these steps fail.
If Fall Guys hangs on its first launch
Epic documents a targeted workaround for a player who has never completed the initial setup and gets stuck loading. It requires a PC with Epic Games Launcher; it is not a general fix for every loading problem.
- On a PC, open Epic Games Launcher and sign in using the Nintendo Switch sign-in option.
- Install and open Fall Guys on the PC. Wait for the Terms of Use prompt and accept it.
- Play at least one game, then exit Fall Guys properly.
- Try launching Fall Guys on the Switch again.

If the loading screen never finishes
For a continuing loading screen, Epic recommends synchronizing the console clock with internet time. On the Switch, open System Settings, go to System, then Date and Time, and enable synchronization via the internet. Epic also says signing in to the Epic account with Nintendo Switch as the login option can sometimes refresh account state and allow access. See Epic’s stuck-on-loading-screen guidance.
If a download or update appears stuck
Nintendo notes that some software pauses downloads while it is running. Close Fall Guys and check the download progress from the Switch HOME Menu:

- Confirm the console can access the internet.
- Close the running software.
- From the HOME Menu, select the user page, open User Settings, and choose Update Download Progress.
- If the download still does not progress, restart the console and allow it to reconnect before launching software that may pause the download.
If it is moving but unusually slowly, test the Switch’s internet connection. Nintendo’s step-by-step instructions are on its download troubleshooting page.
If you cannot log in, join a match, or connect to a party
Epic groups login failures, error codes, download or update trouble, matchmaking failures, match-connection problems, and party-joining failures under connection issues. Start with the Epic Games status page. If it reports a relevant outage or disruption, wait for service updates rather than changing console settings as though the issue were local.

If no known service issue is listed, Epic recommends checking the network, trying a wired connection instead of wireless where possible, and confirming the Switch clock is accurate. Its guide also includes DNS troubleshooting and escalation through an Epic support ticket. These are checks, not guaranteed fixes; network conditions and DNS performance differ. Who to contact if the steps fail
For Fall Guys gameplay, account access, or game-specific connection help, Nintendo’s support-routing page identifies Epic as the publisher and directs players to Epic Games Support. For a console or system issue that remains after the game-specific checks, use Nintendo Switch Support. When asking for help, include the symptom and any error text so support can distinguish a launch problem from a service, account, or download issue.

Does this mean Fall Guys has a general Switch compatibility problem?
Nintendo’s compatibility list names Fall Guys and Epic Games and says previously identified issues were resolved with an update. That statement concerns earlier identified issues; it does not establish the cause of a current problem or rule out a new game, account, network, or console issue. Check the current symptom and service status rather than treating an older compatibility notice as proof of a general defect: Nintendo’s resolved-issues list.
