Escape from Durgesh Prison is a timed, open-world survival mode for Far Cry 4: you have 30 minutes to reach extraction, can take optional quests to earn more time and improve your gear, and must defend the extraction point. If you die, the mission restarts, but weapons and skills earned on earlier attempts carry over. The storefront listings describe both solo and co-op play.
What is Escape from Durgesh Prison?
This is downloadable content for Far Cry 4, not a separate boxed game. Ubisoft’s listing sets up the escape: the player and a fellow captive have been held and tortured in Yuma’s prison, and must get out and survive in Pagan Min’s Kyrat. Steam describes the content as a new open-world mode set in northern Kyrat.

How the timed escape works
Reach extraction before time runs out
Steam’s product description gives you 30 minutes to reach the extraction point. You begin with limited equipment and can choose your route through the open world. Pagan Min’s additional quests offer two kinds of help: completing them adds time and upgrades weapons and vehicles.
Choose between preparation and speed
Optional quests make the eventual escape better equipped and give you more time, but they also take you away from the direct route to extraction. The central decision is whether the extra time and upgrades justify the detour; the listing does not prescribe a single route.

Defend the extraction point
Reaching extraction is not the final step. Once there, you must hold off Yuma’s forces to finish the run.
What happens if you die?
Death restarts the mission under the DLC’s permadeath rule. It does not erase every gain: Steam says weapons and skills acquired on previous attempts remain. Each run also contributes a score to the leaderboard. The description therefore distinguishes between restarting the mission and retaining some progression between attempts.

Can you play co-op, and what platforms are listed?
Steam and the PlayStation Store describe the DLC as playable in single-player and co-op. The PlayStation listing is for PS4. Ubisoft’s PC listing requires a Ubisoft account and the Ubisoft Connect application.
