Ubisoft fixed several documented enemy-respawn problems in Far Cry 6, including an infinite loop in “Paradise Lost” and enemies returning too quickly in named regions. Its 2022 patch notes do not define a universal respawn timer or confirm that every later player complaint is resolved. A separate post-campaign option lets players deliberately return a completed FND Base to military control.
What Ubisoft changed in Title Updates 4 and 5
Ubisoft’s Title Update 4 notes identify three specific respawn problems: an infinite respawn loop during the “Paradise Lost” mission, infinitely respawning snipers in restricted areas between Oasis Plains and Palma Forest, and enemies respawning too frequently in Costa Del Mar and Savannah Fields. The update notes describe fixes for those cases.

Ubisoft’s Title Update 5 notes later adjusted enemy respawn behavior in Acunana Farmland, Cayo Villa Real, and Tabacco Valley to make enemies less likely to return too quickly.
These are targeted fixes and adjustments, not a published rule for how long enemies take to return everywhere. The notes are from 2022: they establish what those updates addressed, but do not by themselves establish the state of every later version or platform.

Why a base reset is different from a respawn bug
After finishing the main campaign, players can abandon a completed FND Base. Ubisoft says this returns the base to military control so it can be tackled again. That is an intentional replay option, not evidence that the game is routinely resetting every captured location. Ubisoft describes the option in its Title Update 5 notes.
How to make sense of a report of “constant” spawns
Players have described enemies appearing again while traveling or doing activities in open areas, and some ask whether enemies “respawn too quickly.” Those reports reflect individual experiences, not a confirmed rule for every location. Community commenters also disagree about what happens at captured bases and checkpoints, so a single post should not be treated as definitive. The Steam discussion is useful for seeing the complaint, but it is not an official statement about game mechanics.

- Open-world travel or an activity: Treat a player’s account as a report of that encounter, not proof of a universal respawn rate.
Restricted areas and detection are related context, not a timer
Ubisoft’s stealth guidance explains that restricted military areas are marked as danger zones and that suspicion and detection cues indicate escalating hostility. That can help explain why encounters feel different depending on where a player is and what they do, but it does not specify when enemies respawn. See Ubisoft’s stealth guidance.

- A single respawn timer that applies across Yara.
- That every current complaint is caused by one bug—or that all reports are fixed.
- A universal rule for enemies returning at every captured base, checkpoint, mission, or open-world location.
- A verified general workaround or mod for the reported behavior.
