Farever’s Call to Glory Major Update #2 went live on September 30, 2026, bringing Heroic difficulty to dungeons, Epic Gear rewards and Infusions for building stronger equipment. The update also adds social and navigation features. At launch, six bosses were available in Heroic mode, with the developer announcing a weekly rollout for the remaining bosses through October.
What is Farever’s Heroic mode?
Heroic is an endgame difficulty built on the maximum level of Veteran difficulty—formerly called Hard—with additional mechanics and attack patterns. Familiar bosses may behave differently, new hazards can appear, and some encounters gain extra phases. Players should expect to adapt rather than assume tactics from earlier runs will work unchanged.
In its September 17, 2026 Heroic Mode devlog, the Farever Team wrote: “We designed Heroic Mode not only as a more difficult challenge in the dungeon, but also in response to the strategies you need to adopt to defeat the bosses in their original forms.” The update’s emphasis is therefore on learning altered fights, not just increasing the challenge of a familiar run. Read the Farever Team’s Heroic Mode posts.
Which dungeons have Heroic difficulty?
The September 30 v0.3 announcement listed six bosses as available in Heroic difficulty. The studio said the remaining bosses were expected to arrive weekly through October; that was the announced schedule, not confirmation of each later release.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Lost City of Mayda
- Crabgantua’s Gorge
- Mine Estrone
- Ratsar’s Lair
- The Trunk of the Hivetree

The update also adds Heroic merchants in Navelin and the Valley of the Eternal Autumn. They accept Medals of Glory earned in Heroic difficulty. The September 30 announcement and v0.3 changelog are the official source for the launch details.
How do you get Epic Gear in Farever?
Run Heroic instances: they reward Epic Gear, which the studio describes as a stronger equipment tier. Gear and Infusions are separate parts of progression—Heroic runs provide the gear, while Infusions add bonuses to it.

How do Infusions work?
Infusions add bonuses to Epic Gear. Using the same infusion across multiple pieces can activate set effects at piece-count thresholds. The Heroic preview gives Life-giving Spring as an example:
- Two pieces: skills can trigger healing.
- Four pieces: about 2.5% Fervor.
- Six pieces: after five Tide stacks, a shield and area effect can be granted.
This is an example of how an infusion set can scale, not a universal build recommendation. The cited preview does not establish a best setup for every class or situation. For Heroic runs, the Farever Team recommends preparing with consumables, good gear and the Spark Cube.

Social and group features
The v0.3 update adds a friend list, an ignore list and emotes. An official post also says the loot available at a dungeon’s end depends on party size, and teammates who fall during a boss encounter can be revived—a feature the studio notes is useful in Veteran and Heroic difficulty.
Navigation and performance changes
Players can mark locations and find directions more easily. The changelog also reports improved overall performance, DLSS 3, reduced CPU load and stuttering, triple buffering, and improved shader compilation. These are developer-reported changes, not a guarantee that every PC will see the same results.
