Before you submit anything, check the live challenge’s requirements, reward and expiry: submitted Player Items are permanently removed from your Club. Full rewards generally require meeting the complete challenge requirement; a Simplified SBC that expires with partial progress may instead grant a smaller untradeable reward based on the Item Score submitted.
How do you complete an SBC in FC 27?
Start with the individual challenge’s displayed requirements. In a Simplified SBC, eligible Player Items contribute Item Score toward a target total. You can submit over multiple sessions, and your progress is saved while the challenge remains live. Duplicates may also be submitted. The main reward is granted only when you reach the full requirement.
Traditional SBCs are squad puzzles: build a squad that satisfies the listed conditions. Depending on the challenge, those may include Squad Rating, Chemistry, Player Quality, leagues, nations or clubs. EA describes the newer Streamlined format as score-based, potentially with minimum item-rating rules, while traditional SBCs remain available for puzzle-style challenges. The exact rules vary by challenge. See EA’s FC 27 SBC guide and FC 27 Ultimate Team Deep Dive.
When do you get the Simplified SBC reward?
You receive the main challenge reward after you meet the full Item Score requirement. If the challenge expires before you finish, EA says you might receive a reduced, untradeable reward based on the Item Score you submitted. That possible partial reward is not the main challenge reward.

When does an SBC expire?
There is no single expiry date for all SBCs. Use the timer or expiry shown on the specific live challenge, and check it before submitting. EA’s FC 26 help text says a squad can no longer be submitted after an SBC expires; the exact deadline belongs to the individual challenge. EA’s current guidance is in its SBC help page.
What happens to Player Items you submit?
Submitted Player Items are removed from your Club immediately and permanently, including items submitted toward partial Simplified SBC progress. EA states, “SBC submissions are final.” Its help page also says EA Advisors cannot restore submitted items. Review the selected items carefully before confirming.

What should you check before submitting?
- Open the specific SBC and read every requirement, its reward and its expiry.
- Compare the displayed reward with the Player Items you would exchange.
- For a Simplified SBC, check the remaining Item Score and avoid using higher-value items than needed.
- Review the final selection before confirming, treating the submission as irreversible.
- For a multi-part or puzzle SBC, check that each segment and any group requirement is complete before expecting the final reward.
Are all FC 27 SBCs Simplified SBCs?
No. FC 27 includes score-based Simplified SBCs as well as traditional squad-puzzle challenges. Check the individual SBC’s interface: a score target and eligible-item rules indicate the Simplified format; a squad with listed chemistry, rating, quality or other conditions indicates a puzzle challenge.
