The Fellowship Wiki was the Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) Fellowship’s collaborative documentation and community site, historically hosted at wiki.fsfe.org. It is no longer an actively maintained wiki: FSFE says its content was moved to docs.fsfe.org, and the old site is now a static dump preserved mainly for reference.
What the Fellowship Wiki was
The Fellowship Wiki served as a shared knowledge base for FSFE staff, Fellows, supporters and local groups. It combined public documentation with community-maintained information about FSFE’s campaigns, organisation and technical services.
FSFE publicly described an improved Fellowship infrastructure on 18 April 2009. That work included moving Fellows’ blogs, creating a Planet aggregator and providing an improved wiki, with separate addresses for the Fellowship, blogs, Planet and wiki services.

Fellowship elections
The election section recorded the arrangement in which two seats in the FSFE General Assembly were reserved for Fellowship representatives. It also preserved annual election history through 2017.
Groups, countries and events
Local-group pages, country teams, meeting records and event calendars helped supporters coordinate activities and find community contacts.
Technical and operational material
The wiki also contained service inventories, deployment references and operational documentation. Some pages were aimed at people maintaining FSFE services rather than casual visitors.
Wiki governance
Wiki Caretakers helped create templates, organise information, manage categories and improve discoverability. Membership was described as open to anyone, reflecting the wiki’s volunteer-maintained character.

Is the Fellowship Wiki still active?
No. FSFE’s status information, updated 6 January 2026, says that “The content of the wiki has been moved to docs.fsfe.org.” A page on the legacy site adds a notice dated 15 March 2026: “This is a static dump of the old wiki. Please use docs.fsfe.org instead.” That means wiki.fsfe.org should be treated as an archive, not as the place to make edits or expect current guidance.
Where to find current FSFE documentation
For current FSFE documentation, start at docs.fsfe.org, the destination identified by FSFE after the migration. Look there for maintained instructions and documents; use the old wiki only when you need historical material that has not been rewritten or when you are checking how FSFE projects and communities were documented at the time.
Rank #4
- Begin your exploration of the Realm with the Core Rulebook for the Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game! Magical forests, treacherous mountains, deadly dungeons, and more await you between these pages.
- Begin your adventures as any of ten classes (assassin, druid, minstrel, priest, prophet, scout, sorcerer, thief, warrior, or wizard) and seven ancestries (elf, dwarf, human, ghoul, leywalker, troll, and sprite).
- The Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game is a hardcover book divided into two sections: the Player’s Guide and the Game Master’s Guide. In the back of the book, you’ll find Light and Dark Fate tokens, character sheets, and six pre-gen characters. It also includes a short, starting adventure, Death’s Messenger, so that you can jump right into the action.
- The Talisman Adventures Fantasy Roleplaying Game rules are fast-paced, easy to learn, and feature the new 3D6 Adventures rules set. With these rules, the players take the lead and determine the action as their characters explore magical new lands, encounter enigmatic strangers, and do battle against terrible monsters. This book provides a multitude of enemies, strangers, followers, mysterious locations, and magic items to include in your adventures. Forbidden knowledge and fabulous treasures — perhaps even the fabled Talisman of the Great Wizard — await the daring and heroic.
- To play this game, you’ll need a few friends, three six-sided dice, 2–4 hours, and your imagination.
Accessing an old page
- Try the corresponding page in the legacy wiki if you have an old link or search result.
- Read the page’s migration notice and check whether it points to a newer document.
- If no replacement is identified, search docs.fsfe.org using the page title or distinctive terms from the archived page.
- Do not assume an undated technical instruction remains correct simply because it is still readable in the static dump.
Legacy wiki versus the current documentation site
| Criterion | Legacy Fellowship Wiki | docs.fsfe.org |
|---|---|---|
| Currency of content | Historical snapshot; pages may be outdated. | Current destination identified by FSFE for migrated documentation. |
| Editability | Static dump; it is not the active editing environment. | Use for maintained FSFE documentation, subject to the site’s own publishing workflow. |
| Official maintenance status | Former wiki, moved and archived. | FSFE’s stated documentation destination as of January 2026. |
| Discoverability | Useful when following historic links, but migration notices may be required to find replacements. | Preferred starting point for current FSFE material. |
| Historical value | High for old campaigns, elections, community records and service documentation. | Primarily useful for present-day guidance rather than preserving the old wiki’s context. |
Why the archive can still matter
The static dump preserves evidence of how the FSFE Fellowship operated and communicated. Researchers can use it to trace campaign pages, local-group activity, election history and the evolution of FSFE’s technical services. Those records describe a particular period, however, and should not be read as proof that a project, policy or service remains unchanged.
Volunteer maintenance was part of its history
The wiki depended on volunteer work as well as FSFE infrastructure. In a 21 November 2009 account, Paul Boddie described helping improve the Fellowship Wiki’s MoinMoin theme and page-title conventions. That example illustrates why archived pages may contain a mixture of formal FSFE information and community-organised material.
