Beastmaster is scheduled to arrive in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.56, according to Square Enix’s patch notes. The original announcement placed the limited job in the broader Patch 7.5x series; the later patch notes specify 7.56. Square Enix announced the job during a Letter from the Producer LIVE, but the official digest—not a direct quotation from producer Naoki Yoshida—provides the clearest details.
When is Beastmaster coming to FFXIV?
Square Enix first said Beastmaster and its related content were scheduled for the Patch 7.5x series in its March 2026 Letter from the Producer LIVE digest. Later, the Patch 7.5 notes gave the scheduled placement as Patch 7.56. That is the most precise timing officially stated in the announcements covered here; it is a schedule, not confirmation that the job has already launched.
What kind of job is Beastmaster?
Beastmaster is a limited job, not a standard job. Square Enix describes a capture-and-command style of play: weaken beasts, capture them, catalogue them in the Master’s Bestiary, and call them into battle. The initial release is described as including 50 beast types, all of which can be tamed solo. The beasts and abilities a player brings determine their fighting style.
The August preview says players can choose up to three familiars for combat and swap between them to use their different strengths. It also emphasizes that Beastmaster will be a different style of limited job from Blue Mage, rather than presenting it as a direct equivalent.

What is the Crucible of the Unbroken?
The Crucible of the Unbroken is a solo duty tied to Beastmaster, with strategic play and its own progression system. Square Enix’s May follow-up described raising monsters, acquiring passive items, strengthening the player and companions, and choosing beasts with useful attack elements. Beasts encountered in alliance raids can be unlocked with rewards from solo content. When capturing as a team, taming is handled separately for each player.
In the August preview, Square Enix said the Crucible is introduced through Beastmaster job quests at level 30. Its map is board-game-like, and the activity includes beast progression, consumable items, and a ranking system. The first ranking season was planned to start two weeks after Patch 7.56 and continue until Patch 7.58.

What has Square Enix confirmed—and what remains a schedule?
The official materials establish the job’s limited-job status, its central capture-and-command loop, the announced initial count of 50 tameable beast types, and the broad design of its solo Crucible content. Patch 7.56 is the stated scheduled release placement. These are Square Enix descriptions and previews, not independent hands-on testing; details may be subject to change before release.
