How do I start the FFXIV FFXV event?
You need a character that has reached level 50 on a job that is not a limited job, and you must have completed the main-scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon.” The opening event quest is “The Man in Black.” Find Kipih Jakkya in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald to begin; she is investigating a rumor for an article.

#1 Best Overall
- Adventure awaits you beyond the horizon in FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- This product is a digital 60-Day Game Time Card for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. It serves as a payment option that allows players to add 60 days of game time to their FFXIV account at the Standard subscription rate, subject to account limits. Both the game and game time are required to play.
- This product can be redeemed on service accounts registered with the Windows, Mac, PlayStation, or Steam versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. However, it cannot be redeemed on service accounts that have only the XBOX or Nintendo Switch 2 versions registered.
If you are new to FFXIV, the event requires access to the game. Orchestrion rolls and event FATEs
Event-related FATEs can award Unidentified Magitek items. During the event, exchange these with Ironworks Hand NPCs for FFXV orchestrion rolls. The official item listing names Ironworks Hand locations in Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, Ul’dah, and Central Thanalan. See the official item database for the item’s event-limited exchange context.

Returning players: replay, partial progress, and rewards
If you completed the event in an earlier year, Seasonal Event Replay lets you play its quests again, but replay does not grant rewards. Starting a replay can also make related purchases or exchanges unavailable until you finish the quests again. If the event closes before you complete the replay, those purchases or exchanges may remain unavailable even if you completed the event in the past.
Before starting a replay or accepting a quest, check your Journal for current and completed event quests. Quest pickup directions depend on your progress: the official event page’s “Resuming Quest Progress” section includes guidance for players directed to Kipih Jakkya in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald or Noctis in New Gridania. Follow the route that matches your Journal, and leave enough time to finish all replay quests before the event closes.
