Fields of Mistria is a released, single-player farming and life-simulation RPG from NPC Studio. On PC, you build up an overgrown farm, help restore a village recovering from an earthquake, explore ruins, collect and craft, and develop relationships with villagers. Its 1.0 release arrived on August 5, 2026; PC is confirmed, while the studio lists console platforms as to be announced.
What is Fields of Mistria?
Set in the village of Mistria, between forest and sea, the game begins after an earthquake has damaged the town and strange magic has appeared. You receive an overgrown homestead and contribute to the village’s recovery. Steam identifies the game as single-player, and NPC Studio’s descriptions frame it as a mix of farming, exploration, town restoration and character relationships.

It is no longer an Early Access release: Steam lists August 5, 2026 as its release date. NPC Studio said the 1.0 version would make the game and storylines completable as originally envisioned. That describes the planned scope of the 1.0 launch, not a promise that development or updates have ended. Steam’s Fields of Mistria listing and the studio’s 1.0 release announcement provide the release details.
What can you do in the game?
The game’s activities span farm and village life, collecting, and adventure. The range is useful to keep in mind if you are deciding whether you want a crop-focused simulator or a broader RPG with combat and exploration as well.

Build a farm and follow the seasons
Grow crops, fish, craft, raise animals and customize your farm and home. Seasonal quests, festivals and villager outfits give the calendar a role beyond planting and harvesting. Animal breeding includes the pursuit of rare color variants.
Explore ruins and use magic
Mining and dungeon exploration add an adventure track to the daily farm routine. The game includes combat in ruins, while unlockable magic can assist with both farming and adventuring.

Help restore Mistria and collect for the museum
Town repair is part of the central progression, alongside museum collections and seasonal events. The 1.0 launch included completion of the town-repair storyline, additional museum sets, dungeon quests and rewards, and skill perks.

Customize your character and home
Character, house and farm customization are among the game’s supported features. The 1.0 update also added furniture, cosmetics, mount skins and achievements.

How do friendship, romance and marriage work?
Relationships are more than a side activity: villagers have stories and relationship progression, and romance can lead to marriage and children. Steam describes 12 marriage candidates. NPC Studio’s 1.0 announcement lists increased heart caps, 10-heart proposal and wedding events, marriage, and children as part of the release’s relationship content.

The game launched in version 1.0 on August 5, 2026. The official blog index lists the 1.0 notes and a v1.0.1 entry on that date; the latter covers bug and crash fixes. NPC Studio’s pre-release FAQ asked whether players would need a new save for 1.0 and said existing saves would carry over. That answer concerned the transition to 1.0; it is not a general guarantee about save compatibility with every later update.

PC through Steam is confirmed. The studio’s press kit lists consoles as TBA, so a console release should not be assumed. Steam lists Windows and SteamOS/Linux support; the studio’s blog says a July 2026 update added Linux and SteamOS support.
For Windows, Steam’s published minimum requirements are 64-bit Windows 10, a 64-bit CPU, 6 GB RAM, a GTX 460 with 1 GB or Radeon R7 240 with 1 GB, DirectX 11, and 2 GB of storage. Its recommended Windows specifications include a Ryzen 3 3300X, RX 480 and 8 GB RAM. Check the live store listing for current platform and hardware details before buying.
Who is Fields of Mistria for?
It may suit players who want farming and seasonal village life alongside mining, dungeon combat, collecting and relationship progression. Its confirmed marriage and family systems add a longer-term social arc, while farm, house and character customization provide creative goals. If you specifically need a console version, wait for a platform announcement: the studio currently lists console availability as TBA.
