How many files are in Resident Evil: Requiem?
Resident Evil: Requiem contains 75 collectible files. PowerPyx, GameSpot, MapMaster and PlayStationTrophies.org all use that total. One secondary result lists 80, but the repeated count across the dedicated location guides is 75; use 75 as the completion target.
The game records each document by name in the Files menu. That menu is the final authority when a guide’s route order differs from the order in which you picked items up.
Are the files missable?
Yes. PowerPyx reports that the game has no chapter select and that collectibles can be missed. Before entering a new story section or triggering a major transition, create a manual save for the current area. If you discover a missing file later, reload the save from before the relevant lockout rather than assuming you can return after finishing the chapter.

Chronological route through the campaign
The most practical way to collect the documents is to follow the story from Wrenwood Hotel through Rhodes Hill and the Care Center, then the Raccoon City sections, and finally the ARK facility. MapMaster divides the campaign into eight map areas and gives room-level pins and interaction requirements. The route below is organized by region so you can pair those pins with your own in-game file names.
Wrenwood Hotel
Start your checklist here. Search every accessible hotel room, office and connecting space before advancing the objective that moves you out of the hotel. Record each file exactly as displayed in the Files menu; the available guide summary does not publish the individual document names.
Rhodes Hill and the Care Center
Continue through Rhodes Hill and the Care Center. Recheck rooms after obtaining any key item or changing control to a different character, since some interactions are conditional. MapMaster’s room labels and prerequisite notes are useful for distinguishing a document that is still inaccessible from one you have already collected.

Raccoon City areas
Raccoon City contains multiple map sections rather than one single sweep. Treat every new district, building and interior transition as a separate save point. Clear all currently open rooms before crossing a progression trigger, then compare the resulting names with your Files menu.

The ARK is the final region in the recommended route. Search each accessible facility room before committing to the next objective. Keep the ARK manual save until the Files menu confirms that no expected entry from this region is absent.
Use the Files menu to find the one you are missing
- Open the in-game Files menu.
- Write down every displayed file name, including entries collected earlier in the campaign.
- Compare that list with a chronological area checklist from Wrenwood Hotel, Rhodes Hill/Care Center, Raccoon City and the ARK.
- Identify the gap, then reload the manual save for the area where that document was available.
- After collecting it, reopen the Files menu and confirm that the exact entry is present before continuing.
Guide order and menu order are not guaranteed to match. A chronological checklist tells you where to search; the menu tells you what the game has actually credited.

Case Closed trophy and achievement
