Buy the Digital Standard Edition if you only want Rebirth. Choose Digital Deluxe for digital artwork, music and three bonus items; Physical Deluxe for the SteelBook, printed art book and soundtrack CD; a Twin Pack if you still need FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE; and the Collector’s Edition only if the approximately 48 cm Sephiroth statue and premium physical presentation justify the extra cost and space.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launched for PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024. Square Enix released several packages that differ mainly in game count, format and collectibles. The core game is the same in every edition, but the right purchase depends on whether you need the previous remake game, prefer digital or physical extras, and value a large display statue.

What every buyer should know about Rebirth’s place in the remake project
Rebirth is the second standalone game in a three-game remake project. PlayStation describes it as playable as a first entry, so you do not have to own or finish FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE before starting. However, playing the earlier game provides story and character context that Rebirth assumes you may recognize.
The Twin Packs are the only editions in this comparison that add another full game. They include the digital PlayStation 5 version of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE, not a physical disc. If you already own REMAKE INTERGRADE, paying for a Twin Pack duplicates that game; in that situation, compare the standalone Deluxe options instead.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Save data does not carry Remake levels or abilities into Rebirth. Eligible PlayStation 5 save data can grant special summon bonuses, but it does not let you bring over your developed character builds. A new player therefore does not lose progression by choosing a Twin Pack later or by beginning Rebirth without a Remake save.
Digital editions: Standard, Deluxe and Twin Packs
Digital Standard Edition
Digital Standard contains the complete Rebirth game and nothing else listed as an edition bonus. It is the straightforward choice when you want an immediate download, do not collect physical packaging and have no interest in the art book, soundtrack or bonus accessories.
Because this is a digital purchase, access is tied to the PlayStation account that bought it. It also avoids the practical issues of a disc drive, storage of a case and possible physical stock shortages. The trade-off is that you receive no SteelBook, printed art book or soundtrack CD.

Digital Deluxe Edition
Digital Deluxe adds six types of content to the full game package:
- A digital mini soundtrack
- A digital art book
- Magic Pot Summoning Materia
- Reclaimant Choker
- Orchid Bracelet
The mini soundtrack and art book are accessed through Square Enix Digital Content Viewer rather than as ordinary files in the console’s music or photo applications. The viewer requires an internet connection, so the digital extras are not purely offline additions even after the game itself has been downloaded.

- 90W Pass-Through Charging: Achieve optimal charging with 90W pass-through power to your laptop, supported by a total input of 100W, with the hub reserving 10W for operational efficiency. (Note: Wall charger not included.)

- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
The three listed in-game items are equipment or summon-related bonuses, not a second campaign or an expansion. Choose this edition when those items and the digital reference material matter more to you than displayable physical objects.
Digital Twin Pack
The Digital Twin Pack combines the full Rebirth game with a full-game download of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE. It is the practical entry package for someone who has not played the remake and wants both chapters in one purchase.

Digital Deluxe Twin Pack
This package includes everything in the Digital Twin Pack, then adds all Digital Deluxe content for Rebirth: the mini soundtrack, digital art book, Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Reclaimant Choker and Orchid Bracelet. The included REMAKE INTERGRADE download remains the same full game; the Deluxe designation applies to the Rebirth bonuses.
For a first-time player, this is the most complete all-digital route. It is less compelling if you already own REMAKE INTERGRADE, because the Twin Pack’s principal value is the second game.

Physical editions: Standard versus Deluxe
Physical Standard Edition
Physical Standard is the disc-based full game in the standard package. It is designed for buyers who want a physical copy without paying for the Deluxe presentation or additional items.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →A physical edition can be preferable if you lend games, display cases or want the option of reselling a disc. It also gives you a box and disc instead of an account-bound download. It does not include the physical art book, mini soundtrack CD or SteelBook case documented for Physical Deluxe.
Physical Deluxe Edition
Physical Deluxe contains the full game plus three tangible extras:
- A physical art book
- A mini soundtrack CD
- A SteelBook case
This is the package for collectors who want meaningful physical additions without the size and price commitment of the Collector’s Edition statue. Its extras are presentation and reference items; the listed package does not include the Digital Deluxe art book, digital soundtrack viewer access or the three Digital Deluxe in-game items.
If your priority is a premium case and printed materials, Physical Deluxe is the clearest match. If your priority is playable bonus items and digital media, Digital Deluxe provides a different kind of value rather than a direct physical equivalent.

What is in the Collector’s Edition?
The Collector’s Edition is a Square Enix Store exclusive soft bundle. It includes the complete Physical Deluxe Edition and a detachable-wing Sephiroth statue approximately 48 centimetres (19 inches) tall. The Deluxe package and statue are packed as separate items in one shipment, rather than as one permanently combined object.
It also includes the following in-game items:
- Moogle Trio Summoning Materia
- Magic Pot Summoning Materia
- Reclaimant Choker
- Orchid Bracelet
The Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Reclaimant Choker and Orchid Bracelet overlap with the Digital Deluxe item list. The Collector’s Edition’s distinct additions are the physical Deluxe materials, the Moogle Trio Summoning Materia and the large Sephiroth display piece.
Codes for the Collector’s Edition’s in-game items require an internet connection and PlayStation Network access. Square Enix has also said those items may be sold separately later, so the Collector’s Edition should be justified by the statue and physical presentation rather than by assuming the codes are permanently exclusive.
Which edition should you buy?
Choose Digital Standard when simplicity matters
- You want only the core Rebirth game.
- You prefer downloading rather than storing a disc.
- Digital artwork, music and bonus items have little value to you.
Choose Digital Deluxe for digital bonuses
- You want the digital art book and mini soundtrack.
- You want Magic Pot Summoning Materia, Reclaimant Choker and Orchid Bracelet.
- You do not need a SteelBook, printed book or CD.
Choose Physical Standard for a disc without extras
- You want a physical copy.
- You are trying to keep the purchase at the standard tier.
- You do not need collector packaging or bonus items.
Choose Physical Deluxe for tangible collectibles
- You want the SteelBook case.
- You prefer a printed art book and soundtrack CD.
- You want a premium physical package but not a large statue.
Choose a Twin Pack if Remake is missing from your library
- You have not played FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE.
- You want both games digitally.
- You prefer buying the two-game bundle instead of purchasing the earlier game separately.
Select Digital Deluxe Twin Pack instead of Digital Twin Pack when the Rebirth digital art, soundtrack and in-game items are also important.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Choose Collector’s Edition only for the statue and premium display value
- You specifically want the approximately 48 cm Sephiroth statue.
- You have room to store and display a large figure.
- You also want the Physical Deluxe package.
- You accept that stock, regional availability and pricing can change.
Availability, codes and edition caveats
Prices, inventory, regional storefronts and code terms are volatile. Check the live listing for your country and PlayStation 5 region before paying, especially for the Square Enix Store exclusive Collector’s Edition. A historical launch package should not be treated as a guarantee of current stock or price.

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Digital Content Viewer access for the Digital Deluxe art book and mini soundtrack requires an internet connection. Collector’s Edition item codes require both internet access and a PlayStation Network account. Confirm that your account region can redeem the codes before opening a collector package intended for another market.
The Collector’s Edition is described as a soft bundle, meaning the Physical Deluxe contents and statue arrive as separate pieces in one shipment. That distinction matters if you are buying it for display, shipping, storage or resale.
How the editions affect a first playthrough
None of the listed editions changes Rebirth’s campaign structure. The meaningful first-playthrough decision is whether you need the earlier remake for context. Rebirth can be enjoyed as a first entry, but the Twin Pack gives newcomers a direct route to the preceding game. Existing Remake players should remember that levels and abilities do not transfer; only eligible PS5 save data can provide special summon bonuses.
Square Enix reported seven million shipments and digital sales for FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE in 2023. That figure describes the earlier game’s combined shipments and digital sales, not Rebirth edition sales, current inventory or the number of Twin Pack buyers.
Bottom line
For most buyers, the decision is format-first: Digital Standard for the game alone, Digital Deluxe for digital bonuses, Physical Deluxe for physical collectibles, and a Twin Pack when REMAKE INTERGRADE is still missing. The Collector’s Edition is a specialist purchase whose defining feature is the approximately 48 cm Sephiroth statue, not a different version of the game.
