Featured English voice cast
Square Enix named these performers and roles in its March 2024 announcement for the four-part Inside FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH documentary. The announcement identifies documentary interview participants; it does not claim to list every English-language performer in the game.

The publisher’s character index also lists characters such as Cait Sith, Cid Highwind, Sephiroth, Chadley, and Dyne, underscoring that the eight names above are not the full cast. To play the game and hear the performances, Square Enix lists Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S on its North American product page; check the listing for your region and preferred platform.
How large was the voice cast?
Square Enix Lead Dialogue Editor Asako Suga said the game featured “more than 250 voice actors” and that recording took around two years. Suga also described Japanese, English, French, and German recordings, with more than 1,000 performers across those language recordings. These are Square Enix’s production figures, not a public character-by-character cast database.

Which voice languages are available?
Square Enix’s Japanese product page names Japanese, English, French, and German as voice options for the platforms it describes. Availability can depend on the edition, platform, and region, so check the relevant store or product listing before choosing a version. The page gives these platform release dates: PS5 on February 29, 2024; Steam and Epic Games Store on January 23, 2025; and Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows on June 3, 2026. These dates reflect the page’s stated platform schedule, not a universal release date for every region or edition.
Square Enix’s Japanese product page supplies the language and platform schedule information. The English cast table above should not be used to infer Japanese, French, or German character assignments; each language has its own performers.
