Square Enix describes FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION as the final chapter of its FINAL FANTASY VII remake project. Its North American store synopsis presents Cloud and his companions facing Sephiroth and threats to the planet, and describes a large world, an assembled party, and combat combining strategic and dynamic elements. Those are publisher descriptions, not independent hands-on findings. Square Enix’s North American product listing identifies the title as an action RPG.

Square Enix’s North American store lists versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Its official games catalogue search result also showed Windows and Steam alongside a December 3, 2026 date, while the North American store gives April 8, 2027. Because these official listings conflict, neither date should be treated here as definitive; check the current official listing for the relevant region and platform.

Platform-specific requirements matter, particularly for physical buyers. The North American store says the Nintendo Switch 2 physical release is a Game-Key Card, requires an internet connection and needs at least 130 GB of free storage for the initial download. It also says physical PS5 and Xbox copies require internet access to download additional game data. Confirm the relevant regional listing before purchase, since requirements can vary by platform and region.

Save data from FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE and FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH can qualify for bonus items when the new game is played on the same platform. Square Enix says the account must match and the relevant save data must be on the console or PC where REVELATION is played. The store also says bonuses unlock after completing the new game even without qualifying save data. Consult the official support category and the platform’s current product listing for applicable conditions.
