For the October 2026 FINAL FANTASY XI login campaign, the best buy depends on what your character still needs: missing alter ego ciphers cost just 5 points each, Scientist’s Board and Chemistry Set suit Mog House decorators, the Ilm Weskit is the campaign’s Ilm outfit piece, and Dynamis boss-weakening items may help players pursuing that progression. Square Enix’s October update does not provide the full exchange list or most prices, so there is no reliable point-for-point ranking.

Missing alter ego ciphers: an easy collection pick
Named ciphers for Koru-Moru, Sakura, S. Sibyl, Luzaf, and Uka are offered for 5 points each, and Square Enix says other alter ego ciphers are available at the same price. If you do not already have a particular alter ego, this is a low-cost way to fill a collection gap. Check your cipher collection first; the notice does not establish that every alter ego is useful for every job or stage of progression. Square Enix’s October 2026 version-update notice also describes the offer as a chance to prepare for an alter ego equipment system tentatively scheduled for winter.

Mog House decoration: Scientist’s Board and Chemistry Set
Scientist’s Board is the featured furnishing, while Chemistry Set is another furnishing named in the campaign notice. They make a natural classroom or laboratory-themed pair for Mog House decoration. The notice does not state a gameplay-stat benefit or either item’s point cost.
Ilm outfit: get the Weskit, but plan for other sources
The login campaign offers the Ilm Weskit, the body piece in the Ilm equipment series. It is not the full outfit: Ilm Tiara and Ilm Huaraches are tied to the Harvest Festival pumpkin hunt, while Ilm Manillas and Ilm Lappa come from trading specified items to the Curator Moogle. The campaign notice does not state the Weskit’s point cost. Square Enix’s Harvest Festival notice describes the festival sources for the head and feet pieces.

Dynamis progression: consider the boss-weakening exchange items
The October update adds exchange items that weaken bosses in Dynamis – Buburimu, Dynamis – Valkurm, and Dynamis – Qufim. Defeating those bosses grants access to Dynamis – Tavnazia, so these items may be the more relevant choice if you are working toward that content rather than decorating or collecting. Square Enix also says the materials support reforging high-level race-based equipment and can contribute to crafting Ja Ja Sword and Ja Ja Mace when all three types are gathered. The notice does not give point prices or detailed effects, so their efficiency cannot be compared with other rewards.

The one clearly stated price in the October update is 5 points for the named alter ego ciphers and other ciphers in that offer. It does not include a complete reward list, most prices, or the campaign’s distribution and exchange deadlines. Choose according to your current goal rather than assuming one item is universally the best value.

- Massively multiplayer online roleplaying Final Fantasy game
- Experience missions by yourself or join up with other party members to form alliances
- Explore the incredibly vast environments that make up Vana'diel
- Connect and communicate with thousands of other gamers
- Note: this online-only game requires an Internet connection and charges a monthly fee payable by credit card
For the broader point system, Square Enix’s November 2025 login campaign update revised the exchange tiers and set the maximum point carryover at 700. Older guidance quoting a 1,500-point carryover cap is out of date. The 700-point cap is carryover guidance, not a price or estimate of what any October reward costs.
