What arrived with Patch 7.2 on March 25?
Square Enix’s March 18 release announcement listed these launch-day additions and changes:

- New main-scenario quests continuing the story.
- The Underkeep dungeon.
- The Arcadion: Cruiserweight Division raid tier, with Normal difficulty available at launch.
- The Recollection trial in Normal and Extreme difficulties.
- Hells’ Kier (Unreal).
- A new Cornservant side quest.
- Duty Support for the Sunken Temple of Qarn.
- PvP updates, alongside job adjustments and other additions and adjustments.
The official Patch 7.2 special site frames the story around the Queen of Reason’s return and her promise to troubled subjects that they can become Endless, set against others’ fear of death.

Which Patch 7.2 content came later?
The “7.2” label covered a series of updates, not a promise that every feature in the initial roadmap would be available on March 25. Square Enix’s announcements set out this schedule:

For the 2025 release, Square Enix announced 24-hour maintenance and warned that the patch data would be larger than usual. In its Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXXVI digest, the community team advised: “We recommend freeing up storage space beforehand, if necessary.” That was launch guidance for the then-upcoming Patch 7.2 download, not a current storage requirement.
