A Nocturne for Heroes, FINAL FANTASY XIV’s crossover with FINAL FANTASY XV, is live now. The North American event runs from September 24, 2026, at 1:00 a.m. through October 13 at 7:59 a.m. PDT, so players still have time to start or finish it.

What rewards can I get from the FFXV event in FFXIV?
Square Enix highlights these in-game rewards for the return:
#1 Best Overall
- Adventure awaits you beyond the horizon in FINAL FANTASY XIV.
- This product is a digital 60-Day Game Time Card for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. It serves as a payment option that allows players to add 60 days of game time to their FFXIV account at the Standard subscription rate, subject to account limits. Both the game and game time are required to play.
- This product can be redeemed on service accounts registered with the Windows, Mac, PlayStation, or Steam versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online. However, it cannot be redeemed on service accounts that have only the XBOX or Nintendo Switch 2 versions registered.
- Regalia Type-G four-seater mount
- Lucian Prince costume set
- Modern Aesthetics – Lucian Locks hairstyle
- Orchestrion rolls, plus other rewards
The Regalia is a mount, and the outfit, hairstyle, and rolls are digital game rewards—not physical products. Square Enix says this return is identical to the prior event.
How do I start A Nocturne for Heroes?
To participate, a character must be level 50 and have completed the main scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon.” Limited jobs are excluded from the level requirement. See the official event site for the event details.
Rank #2
- Access to all expansion content from Heavensward and Stormblood, unlocking additional jobs, areas, story quests and more ways to explore: flying, swimming and diving
- A flexible class system that allows players to switch freely between a variety of classes and jobs, including new additions red mage and samurai, and reach the new level cap of level 70
- All the hallmarks of the FINAL FANTASY franchise, including an engaging storyline, genre-leading graphics, and HD real time cut scenes.
- Robust gameplay features such as player-managed Free Companies, diverse party finder features to group up with other players with ease, and a variety of fun activities in the Gold Saucer area, all designed to accommodate a dynamic player community.
- Challenging trials, dungeons and raids for groups of up to 24, and exciting player-vs-player (PvP) content for groups of up to 72 players
- Meet the level and story requirements on an eligible character.
- Follow the event quest information in game to begin the seasonal questline.
- Complete the event quests before the North American deadline, or the equivalent deadline shown for your region.
New players cannot jump straight into the event: they need to purchase FINAL FANTASY XIV before creating a character, then progress to the required level and story point. The official site notes that Preferred or Preferred+ Worlds offer an experience bonus, which may help with leveling.
Can I resume or replay the event if I played before?
The special site identifies A Nocturne for Heroes as the same event previously held in 2019, 2021, and 2024. If you started it in an earlier run, you can continue from your existing progress.

- New playable races: Viera and Hrothgar
- Level cap increase from 70 to 80
- New cities to explore: The Crystarium and Eulmore
Eligible players who already completed the event can use Seasonal Event Replay. Replay does not grant event rewards. While replay quests are in progress, quest-related item purchases or exchanges remain unavailable; if the replay is unfinished when the event ends, those options can remain inaccessible. Check whether you need those exchanges before starting a replay near the deadline.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What should returning players prioritize?
If you have not completed the event, focus on finishing the questline before the regional end time so you can claim its rewards. If you completed it in a previous run, replay is for revisiting the quests rather than earning the rewards again; weigh that against the temporary exchange restriction if you still need quest-related items.
