The longer Steam description says exams become increasingly difficult. Cooperation involves sharing answers and tools rather than simply moving through a conventional combat campaign. Between exams, players can spend time in a hall, where the listed activities include playing basketball and decorating statues. In-game chat is supported, and the page identifies the game as having online interactivity.
What the description does not establish
The listing does not explain the exact number of exams, the length of a run, the complete objective structure or whether every activity is available in solo mode. It also does not state whether the teacher is controlled by a fixed artificial-intelligence routine, whether difficulty scales with party size or whether players can reconnect after a disconnect. Those details should not be assumed from the genre description.

A planned date can change. Check the Steam listing close to launch for any revised date, availability notice, system requirements or updated multiplayer information. Until the store status changes, buying the game is not the same as starting it immediately: a pre-order remains tied to the future release.
How many players can play Finals Week?
The official number is not published
Steam confirms Online Co-op, but the authoritative listing does not give a numeric maximum. There is no official confirmation that the game supports two, four, six or any other specific party size. Do not infer a four-player limit from the phrase “you and your friends,” and do not treat a community question as an answer.

The Steam Community hub includes a discussion titled “How many players can we play with ?” The retrieved page shows players asking whether four or more people are supported, but it does not show an official developer response. That makes the maximum player count not officially published, rather than four, more than four or unlimited.
How to plan a group before the number is known
- Keep your initial group flexible instead of promising that everyone in a large friend list will fit into one lobby.
- Wait for the developer or publisher to state the lobby cap, party cap or match size in an updated Steam description, FAQ or announcement.
- Do not buy extra copies solely to form a large party until the supported capacity is confirmed.
- If your group is larger than the eventual limit, plan separate sessions rather than assuming spectators, drop-in play or multiple teams will be available.
Once an official number is posted, it will answer the practical question of whether your group fits in one session. Until then, the only safe statement is that online co-op exists and the maximum is unknown.

Yes, a solo mode is listed
Steam’s feature table explicitly includes Single-player. That means a player can play alone in at least one supported solo mode; you do not need a co-op partner merely to launch the game or access all play at a basic level.
Solo completeness is still unclear
The listing does not say whether the full experience, every mission or every exam is available alone. It also does not explain how cooperation-dependent tasks change when no other players are present. A solo buyer should therefore distinguish between “single-player is supported” and “the entire co-op campaign has been confirmed to work identically in solo.” The first is official; the second is not.
Until the developer publishes more detail, expect the possibility that solo play may use different balancing, fewer simultaneous tasks or an altered pace. Those are reasonable questions to verify after launch, but they are not facts established by the current store text.

Does Finals Week have cross-play?
Cross-play is unconfirmed
The Steam feature table lists Online Co-op but does not list Cross-Platform Multiplayer. The listing names no Xbox, PlayStation or other platform version. There is also no official statement saying that Steam players can join friends on another platform.

Online co-op describes the connection type; it does not automatically mean that players on different storefronts or consoles can share a lobby.
What your group should verify
- Which platforms receive a release, rather than assuming a console edition exists because the game is multiplayer.
- Whether accounts from different platforms can join the same party.
- Whether voice or text communication works across platforms.
- Whether cross-progression or separate platform purchases are required.
If all members intend to play on Steam, cross-play is irrelevant to that session. If even one friend is on another platform, wait for an explicit developer or publisher statement before treating the arrangement as workable.
Steam refund rules for Finals Week
Standard refund window after release
Valve’s official Steam Support wording says: “Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours (this includes online, offline and shared library playtime).” In practical terms, the normal automatic eligibility test has two parts:
- The request is made within 14 days of purchase.
- Total recorded playtime is under two hours, including online, offline and shared-library play.
Both conditions matter. Playing for 2 hours or more, or waiting beyond 14 days, moves the request outside the standard conditions. Steam still allows a request to be submitted for review outside those limits, but approval is not guaranteed.

Refunding a pre-order
Steam states: “Per Steam’s standard refund policy, you may refund your pre-order any time prior to the release of the game.” That rule is especially relevant while Finals Week remains unavailable. A pre-order can be refunded before the listed release, regardless of the normal post-purchase two-hour test because the game has not entered its released-play period.
After release, the normal 14-day and under-two-hours conditions apply. If you pre-order and then play after launch, keep track of both the release date and your recorded playtime rather than assuming the pre-release rule continues indefinitely.

- Open Steam Support at help.steampowered.com.
- Sign in to the Steam account that purchased Finals Week.
- Select the purchase from your recent purchases or account history.
- Choose the refund option and identify the reason that best describes the request.
- Submit the form and retain the confirmation until Steam responds.
The support page is the correct route for both a pre-release pre-order refund and a post-release request. If the automated eligibility screen does not approve the request, you can still submit it for manual consideration when Steam permits that option; an exception review is discretionary.
