The Fire Knight’s Greatsword is a colossal sword found in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. To get it, farm the greatsword-wielding Fire Knight in Shadow Keep’s Church District and Specimen Storehouse area. Eldenpedia reports a 4% drop chance for that enemy variant; this is a community-listed rate, not a guarantee of how many kills you’ll need.
Where do you get the Fire Knight’s Greatsword?
Farm a Fire Knight that carries a greatsword in Shadow Keep. Eldenpedia places the drop in the Church District / Specimen Storehouse area and highlights a knight near the elevator leading to the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace. Its enemy listing also assigns the weapon a 4% drop chance. Target the greatsword-wielding variant: other Fire Knights do not necessarily carry or drop this weapon.
The item page notes that riding the elevator up from the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace reportedly leaves the knight facing away. That may help you approach, but it is not a guaranteed farming outcome.
What are the Fire Knight’s Greatsword’s stats and requirements?
The following is the weapon’s listed unupgraded profile in Eldenpedia’s default configuration. Upgrades and affinity can change its damage and scaling, so these figures are not a prediction of the damage a particular character will deal.

The item page describes the weapon as already having a flame incantation applied and says further flame imbuement can increase its power. With Flame Art affinity, the page estimates that fire makes up about 70% of total attack power, compared with about 55% for other colossal swords. Treat those shares as the wiki’s comparison, not fixed values across every upgrade level or setup.
How should you decide whether it fits your build?
- Check the requirements: You need 18 Dexterity and 12 Faith, plus 22 Strength for one-handed use or 15 Strength if you meet the two-handed requirement.
- Consider damage type: Its listed profile includes both physical and fire damage. Which helps more depends on the enemy’s defenses.
- Account for setup: Affinity, weapon skill and upgrade level affect the weapon’s damage distribution and scaling. The listed base profile alone cannot establish which configuration is best for your character.
- Weigh the farming time: A reported 4% chance means the weapon may take repeated kills to obtain; it does not specify a guaranteed number of attempts.
No tested best-build ranking is established here. Use your own attributes, intended affinity and target’s defenses to judge the weapon rather than treating a single stat profile as a universal recommendation.
