On October 7, 2026, Enad Global 7 (EG7) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Fireshine Games has acquired Fair Games ApS, the Aarhus-based Danish studio that develops and owns the survival-crafting PC game Necesse. The deal is a change of ownership with publishing support attached. Fair Games says it will keep directing the game and its updates, while Fireshine takes on larger publishing and porting work. The phrase “defining moment” is how Fair Games founder Mads Skovgaard describes the partnership. It is his view, not an independent verdict on the deal.
What was announced
EG7’s release names Fireshine Games as the buyer and Fair Games ApS as the target. EG7 says it will consolidate Fair Games in its financial reporting from October 7, 2026, and it expects the acquisition to contribute positively to its performance as Necesse is developed further. That expectation is EG7’s own outlook, not a forecast Fair Games has made.

The studio’s position after the deal is also specified. According to EG7, Fair Games has eight employees and two freelancers. Founder and CEO Mads Skovgaard remains managing director, and operations continue in Aarhus.
EG7 presents the deal as a strengthening of Fireshine’s survival-crafting portfolio. The examples it cites are Core Keeper, Len’s Island, Voyagers of Nera and Dawn of Defiance, with Isle Goblin described as upcoming. This is the acquirer’s strategic rationale rather than evidence of how Necesse will perform.

Deal terms: three components with different conditions
EG7 disclosed three separate payment elements. They should not be added together into one firm price, because only the first is unconditional.
| Component | Amount stated by EG7 | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront consideration | USD 4.0 million | Paid upfront. EG7 says the deal will be funded from available cash. |
| Additional consideration | Up to USD 2 million | Contingent on content and platform releases. |
| Performance earn-out | 10–20 percent of net revenue, after deduction of cost for services sold | Target-dependent. The release does not itemize the targets and does not disclose a maximum total earn-out. |
What the game numbers say, and what they do not
EG7’s October 7, 2026 announcement reports that Necesse has sold approximately 2.5 million units, has generated approximately USD 14.4 million in gross revenue since launch, and holds a 93 percent user rating on Steam. These are EG7’s figures, reported on that date. Sales and ratings change over time, so they should be read as a snapshot. The game launched on Steam in December 2019.

A separate number comes from Fair Games’ own October 7 community post, which says the game drew more than 150,000 first-time players during a recent free weekend. That figure counts players in one promotional event. It is not a lifetime sales or total player count, and it should not be combined with EG7’s unit figure.
The same post refers to the recent “Rust & Romance Update” and says the developer will share further news about a planned Christmas update. Those statements were made at the time of the post. They do not confirm a release date or content for that update.
