The Fisch Wiki, updated September 25, 2026, reports a 120-second wait before you can take another request and estimates the cash payout at about six to eight times the requested fish’s current value. Its reward table includes common crate bundles and rare items, but some grouped rows do not make individual item rates clear.
How Angler quests work
- Talk to an Angler and receive a request for a particular fish.
- Catch the requested fish and hand it in to complete the request.
- Receive XP and C$, plus a chance-based item reward.
- Wait 120 seconds after completion before taking another request, according to the Fisch Wiki’s September 25, 2026 update.
The wiki describes the Depths Angler as location-specific: this Angler requests fish found in The Depths. Older guidance says a fish can be handed to any Angler even if the quest came from another one, but the later wiki page does not confirm that behavior. Check the live game before relying on a cross-NPC hand-in.
Reported Angler rewards and drop rates
The table below reflects the unofficial Fisch Wiki page updated September 25, 2026. These are reported chances, not developer-confirmed guarantees. Where the page combines items into a grouped row or its formatting leaves the mapping unclear, the table preserves that uncertainty rather than assigning a rate to each item.
| Reward | Chance shown | Quantity and notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bait Crate, Carbon Crate, or Common Crate | 23.34% combined roll | 5 crates; one of the three types is chosen |
| Enchant Relic | 15.77% | 1 |
| Starlight Worm | Not separately visible in the wiki table formatting | 2–5 |
| Treasure Map | 12.62% | 1 |
| Exalted Relic | 7.89% | 1 |
| Aurora Totem | 6.31% | 1 |
| Glitched Potion, Shark Whistle, Starfall Totem, or Rainbow Totem | 3.15% shown for a grouped row | 1 item; separate item-level rates are not clear in the table |
| Bloop Whistle, Angler’s Raft, Angler’s Glove, or Weather Matrix | 1.58% or 0.79% shown across grouped rows; exact item mapping is unclear | 1 item; the wiki identifies the Raft, Glove, and Matrix as one-time rewards |
| Song of the Deep | 0.16% | 1 |
The listed percentages should not be treated as a complete, neatly separated set of individual-item odds: the wiki’s rendered table does not show Starlight Worm’s rate separately and groups several other items together.

Why older drop-rate guides differ
All Things How and Beebom guides published in 2025 report earlier figures: 27.01% for a randomized crate bundle, 14.37% for Enchant Relic and Starlight Worm, 11.49% for Treasure Map, and 0.14% for Song of the Deep. Those numbers are historical guide figures and should not be combined with the later September 2026 wiki table as if they described one current table.
How much C$ and XP do you get?
C$ payout
The September 2026 Fisch Wiki says the cash reward is generally about six to eight times the requested fish’s current value. This is approximate guidance, not a guaranteed payout for every request or game state; the page does not give a fixed amount for each fish.

XP reward
Completing a request also awards XP, but the current wiki page does not provide a full XP schedule by rarity. All Things How gives example XP amounts in its older guide, but those figures are not confirmed by the later page, so they should not be treated as current values without checking in-game.
How requests change as you complete more quests
The Fisch Wiki reports that the possible request difficulty rises with completed-request milestones:

|---|---|
| 10 or more | Legendary |
| 25 or more | Mythical |

| 100 or more | Apex |
These are reported unlock thresholds for request types, not a guarantee that every request at a given milestone will be that rarity.
What to know before farming Angler rewards
- Expect chance-based outcomes. A rare reward such as Song of the Deep has a much lower listed chance than the grouped crate roll, and the rates are not official guarantees.
- Account for one-time items. The wiki says Angler’s Glove, Weather Matrix, and Angler’s Raft can only be obtained once.
- Use old fish lists cautiously. The 2025 All Things How guide includes requested fish and preferred bait for overworld and Depths requests, but fish availability and game content can change; verify the request and bait in-game.
- Do not assume every Angler accepts every hand-in. The current wiki page does not settle cross-NPC turn-ins.
Sources and confidence
The most current accessible figures here come from the unofficial Fisch Wiki page updated September 25, 2026, rather than a developer document. Older guides disagree on some rates and the cooldown. No named-person quotation or official developer statement validating these figures is established by the cited guides, and the current XP schedule and cross-NPC hand-in behavior remain unconfirmed.
