To reach the shop, complete Todd’s quest, collect three items from Moosewood NPCs at night, then answer the lighthouse NPC’s riddles. The market’s stock changes, and the available catalog is outdated, so there is no verified complete list of current items or prices.
Where is the Black Market in Fisch?
The Black Market Shopkeeper is inside the Shady Bazaar, a sub-location of Moosewood. The Fisch Wiki lists the shopkeeper at X: −3059, Y: −1025, Z: 6066. You must open the Bazaar gate before you can enter and reach the shopkeeper. Fisch Wiki: Shady Bazaar
How to unlock the Shady Bazaar
- Talk to Todd. Find him in the house beside the Merchant in Moosewood. Choose the first option for each question.
- Visit three NPCs at night. Speak with the Fisher on Moosewood’s left side, the Diver at the pond, and the Watchman on the right side. They give you the Tarnished Lantern, Barnacled Hook, and Crow Feather Charm, as well as the riddle lines.
- Return to Todd. Speak with him again after collecting the items and riddle clues.
- Go to the lighthouse with all three items equipped. Speak to Some Shady Guy and answer the prompts in this order: “Light keeps honest folk safe”; “The sea gives things up eventually”; “Trust isn’t given down there. It’s survived.” The gate opens into the Shady Bazaar.
- Find the Black Market Shopkeeper. Enter the Bazaar and go to the shopkeeper at the listed location.
These steps and the NPC locations are listed on the Fisch Wiki’s Shady Bazaar page, updated September 25, 2026.
When does the Black Market spawn?
Available community information points to weekend appearances, with random spawns and inventory that may vary between appearances. It does not establish a reliable exact spawn time. Check current in-game notices or official update announcements rather than planning around a specific hour. Fisch Wiki changelog

Some older guidance describes a 10-minute admin-triggered event at Moosewood. That conflicts with the newer identification of the shop as a location inside the Shady Bazaar, so do not rely on that event description as the current way to access the shop. TechWiser’s May 2026 guide
What does the Black Market sell?
The shop’s inventory can change, and a current complete list, quantity, and price for a live appearance are not established. A community catalog marked “Outdated Information” names historical examples across several categories, but it is not a dependable live catalog. Fischepedia Black Market catalog

| Historical examples | What the catalog can tell you |
|---|---|
| Katana Rod, Sword of Darkness | Rods |
| Starfall Totem, Cosmic Relic | Totems and relics |
| Atomic Nuke | Utility item |
| Shiny Sparkling Wrath Floppy | Cosmetic |
| Pizza | Historical listing price: 20 C$; not a confirmed current price |
| Other listed items | The outdated catalog includes examples priced above 2 billion C$, but these are not verified live prices |
The catalog also describes boats, bait, and fish as possible categories. Treat all of these as examples of past listings, not a promise that any item will appear now. The newer community changelog reports small stock per spawn and changing inventory, but it does not establish the current selection or prices. Fisch Wiki changelog
How to decide what to buy
When the market is available, use the live shop display to make the decision: compare the price and available quantity, identify the item category, and consider whether the item helps your current progression. The available sources do not establish a current best buy or a reliable item ranking.

Does DLC merchandise unlock the Black Market?
No. The official Fisch DLC instructions describe DLC tokens as rewards included with certain official merchandise: “To get DLC rewards, simply purchase official FISCH merchandise that contains DLC Tokens (see Collectors Guide under the Guides tab) from any Official Retailer listed below.” That is a separate rewards route, not a requirement for opening the Shady Bazaar.
