There are 12 fish listed for the Boreal Pines Bestiary. Use the checklist below to identify each entry and its reported bait, time, weather, and season; when a preference is missing or sources disagree, check the fish’s current in-game Bestiary hint before planning a targeted catch.
All Boreal Pines Bestiary fish
Boreal Pines is a Fisch Bestiary category and a Northern Expedition sub-location. The table follows the species and preferences on the community-maintained Boreal Pines location page. A dash in the source means no preference was listed; it does not establish that every condition works equally well.

| Uncommon | Fourhorn Sculpin | Shrimp | None listed | None listed | Winter |

| Mythical | Glacial Squid | Mythical bait | Night | None listed | Winter |
| Exotic | Frostwyrm | Sapphire Krill | None listed | Rain | Winter |
The location page and a guide video published December 20, 2025 differ on several bait preferences. The video recommends Insect for Polar Cod, Bagel for Antarctic Icefish, Worm for Greenland Halibut, Fish Head for Glacial Squid, and Sapphire Krill or Frostnova Bait for Frostwyrm. It also specifies Night for Frostwyrm. These are alternate reported recommendations, not confirmed replacements for the location page’s values. Check the in-game hint if a catch is missing.
How to target a missing fish
Use the entry’s conditions as a starting point
For species with a listed season or time, try to match those conditions first. The table lists Eelpout and Glacial Squid at Night, and the location page lists Winter for most entries. Because blank fields are simply unspecified, they should not be read as evidence that weather, season, or time cannot matter.

Resolve bait disagreements in game
For Polar Cod, Antarctic Icefish, Greenland Halibut, Glacial Squid, and Frostwyrm, the two community references do not give the same bait advice. Use the current Bestiary hint for the particular fish rather than assuming one list is definitive. If the listed bait does not work, compare the alternate recommendation above and verify other conditions before repeating the same attempt.
Check the special Frostwyrm hunt
Frostwyrm is described by the location page and video as a hunt catch in the Crystal Fissure sub-location, rather than an ordinary catch to pursue anywhere in Boreal Pines. The video reports Rain, Winter, Night, and either Sapphire Krill or Frostnova Bait; the location page reports Sapphire Krill, Rain, and Winter. Confirm the active hunt’s current location and requirements in game.

What Bestiary completion counts toward
The Fisch Bestiary is an in-game logbook of fish and items caught by the player. The community-maintained Bestiary page, updated September 25, 2026, says the overall Bestiary—not Boreal Pines alone—unlocks eligibility to buy the Destiny Rod at 70% completion for 190,000 C$, and awards the Aurora Bobber at 100% completion. The page also says entries must be caught by the player for completion percentage; trades do not count. Limited, Secret, and Divine Secret fish are not required under the page’s stated game-wide rules. Check the current in-game instructions if your progress does not match these rules.

The Boreal Pines list is community-maintained, and the supplemental recommendations come from an AmazedBot guide video published December 20, 2025. Neither source establishes live-game verification, catch rates, or a Boreal Pines-specific completion statistic. A player has also reported searching the cave and the area behind the island with ice floors for a final fish; that anecdote does not verify either spot as the missing fish’s location.
