The patch-specific details below are attributed to that coverage, not presented as an official Epic Games changelog. Epic had described Springfield Island as an 80-player Battle Royale experience in its November 1 season announcement.
Epic’s announcement also set the Simpsons-season scene with giant donuts falling from the sky and clones in Springfield. That establishes the season’s theme, but it does not independently confirm the specific v38.10 Donut Storm mechanics reported below.
How to get the Mythic Cartoon Chainsaw
- Look for a Scratchy television. According to Beebom’s report, the television spawns randomly and appears on the map when you are nearby.
- Interact with the television to make Scratchy emerge and chase you with a chainsaw.
- Defeat Scratchy to receive the Mythic Cartoon Chainsaw.
The report described this as the known way to obtain the Cartoon Chainsaw at publication time. It did not explain how to acquire the other listed weapons.

How Donut Storms work
Beebom reported that Donut Storms could occur randomly during Battle Royale matches, dropping donuts across multiple areas. A falling donut that hits a player can deal substantial damage or eliminate them. Treat those gameplay details as the contemporaneous report’s account: Epic’s season announcement mentioned giant falling donuts, but did not verify the storm’s random occurrence or its damage behavior.

What Bonus Rewards were added?
Beebom reported four Green Reactor Waste styles on Bonus Rewards Page 2 for Marge, Fishstick, Ned Flanders, and Homer. The report said players could access them after passing level 50. It also mentioned Lisa and Moe Item Shop releases and three Sidekicks as upcoming releases; those were described as upcoming, not as already-unlocked Bonus Rewards.

The same Beebom report described a Mortal Kombat Blitz takeover and listed Dual Pistol, Hammer Pump Shotgun, Scorpion’s Kombat Kit, Silenced Pistol, Sub-Zero’s Kombat Kit, and Wrecker Revolver in the loot pool. Event countdown speculation
Beebom said event-related files had been added and that dataminers expected a countdown near Jebediah’s statue in Springfield Town Square. It also said the timer was disabled at the time. The suggested activation timing was speculation, not confirmation of an active countdown or an official event schedule.

Epic’s November 1, 2025 announcement called Springfield Island an 80-player, back-to-basics Battle Royale experience. It described a Springfield Battle Pass featuring Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and Springfielder Peely, and identified Peels as Fortnite’s first Sidekick at that time. The announcement also scheduled Simpsons shorts in Fortnite’s Quests tab and on Disney+: “Apocalypse D’Oh” (November 1), “Sugar High” (November 10), “Multiplidiocy” (November 17), and “The Incredible Bulk” (November 24). Those are historical schedule details, not a statement about current viewing availability.
In a June 18, 2026 announcement, Epic said The Simpsons had joined Fortnite’s IP Partner Program. Epic also reported that more than 80 million players spent over 750 million hours playing during the Simpsons season. Those are Epic’s figures for that season, not a measure of Fortnite’s overall player base.
