For the launch-era Fortnite OG quest, emote near a fish trophy in each of three POIs: Greasy Grove, Retail Row, and Lonely Lodge. Look for the on-screen Emote indicator to confirm the right spot; Shacknews also reports that the trophy glows silver. The guides document the quest as it appeared at Fortnite OG’s December 2024 launch, but do not confirm whether it is active now.
How to complete the fish trophy quest
- Travel to Greasy Grove, Retail Row, and Lonely Lodge. You need to emote near a trophy in each different POI.
- At each location, approach the fish trophy and watch for the on-screen Emote indicator. Use an emote when it appears; the quest should register that location.
- Repeat at the other two POIs. Shacknews says the correct trophy emits a silver glow in game, which can help identify it (Shacknews).
Greasy Grove fish trophy
Go to the hunting and fishing shop, also described as a supply store—not the Durrr Burger restaurant. The trophy is on the wall immediately beside the registers on the left as you enter through the front door. If it is not obvious, use the Emote indicator to locate the quest target. Shacknews and Esports.gg identify the shop landmark.
Retail Row fish trophy
Find the hunting shop in the northeast corner of Retail Row; its storefront has a large fish trophy. The guides differ on the precise target position: Shacknews identifies the large fish on the storefront, while Esports.gg describes a trophy inside the building, in the back-right corner. Follow the in-game Emote indicator rather than relying on one interior direction as definitive. Shacknews; Esports.gg.
Lonely Lodge fish trophy
Enter the large wooden lodge or cabin and check the walls. Shacknews places the trophy on the back wall beside magazine racks; Esports.gg also points to a cabin wall. Look for the Emote indicator to verify the correct target. Shacknews; Esports.gg.

Quest availability and reward
Epic announced on December 5, 2024 that Fortnite OG would return the following day as an always-on Chapter 1 Season 1 experience, bringing back the original map and OG locations (Epic Games). Shacknews published its trophy-location guide on December 6, 2024, and Esports.gg covers the same launch-era quest. Those sources establish where to go for that quest instance, not whether this specific quest is active on October 5, 2026.
Esports.gg reports that completing all three locations awarded 20K XP toward Battle Pass and OG Pass progression for the quest version it covered. Treat that as a version-specific reward, not a confirmed current payout. Esports.gg.
