This route takes Oswald from Jeff’s Pizzeria through the opening trip to the past, back to the present, and through the immediate Day 1 aftermath. The title’s “Night One” refers to that opening gameplay section; the source walkthrough labels the next part “Day 1.” Its route was played on Creepy difficulty, so encounter behavior may differ on other settings.
Content note: The walkthrough source warns that the game includes frequent rapidly flashing lights and colors that may affect people with epilepsy or photosensitivity.
Enter the past Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza
- At Jeff’s Pizzeria, open the map with M if you need help finding the Ball Pit room. It is left of Backstage, through a door off the stage.
- Enter the abandoned ball pit to travel to the past version of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
Follow the children’s tour
- Crawl out of the pit into the Party Room, then go to the Dining Area and head left to meet Mike and Chip.
- Play the opening skee-ball game, “Pizza Roller.” You do not need a perfect score to continue.
- Play tag, then follow the hide-and-seek prompt to the room beyond the Arcade. This is the room with the Golden Freddy suit.
Survive the blackout and escape
- When the power cuts and the sequence begins inside the suit, hold Space to hold your breath until Spring Bonnie passes.
- After the pizzeria empties, go to the entrance, then return to the Dining Area. Use the ajar Employee door to enter the Party Hallway.
- Follow Spring Bonnie left down the Party Hallway into the Party Room. During the attack quick-time event, press Space to deflect it.
- Run all the way back to the Ball Pit room and jump into the pit to return to present-day Jeff’s Pizzeria.
Day 1: get Dad out and call Mom
Pull Dad from the pit
Spring Bonnie attacks Dad at the pizzeria. Complete the brief quick-time event to pull him out; the story then reveals that Dad has been possessed.
Distract Spring Bonnie at home
- Go to the Master Bedroom. Use an interactable object that makes noise to distract Spring Bonnie. The walkthrough’s example is the Living Room television.
- While the creature is drawn to the noise, hide under the Dining Room table and wait for it to pass.
- Find Mom’s number taped to the Kitchen fridge. Take Dad’s phone beside the bed and call her.
- The call draws Spring Bonnie, so hide under the bed until it leaves. Then meet Mom in the Living Room and continue through the cutscene.
Leave home and return to Jeff’s
The walkthrough’s practical first-day route is to leave through the front door when Spring Bonnie is well away. It also lists later escape alternatives involving a screwdriver, rope, or ladder; each escape method becomes unusable after one use. Once outside, return to Jeff’s Pizzeria and enter the ball pit to continue.

Why the ball pit matters
The ball pit is the route between present-day Jeff’s Pizzeria and the past Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Into the Pit is a five-night adventure centered on Oswald, the ball pit, time periods, clues, hiding, and escape. Steam lists Mega Cat Studios as the developer and publisher and August 7, 2024 as the release date: official Steam store page.
