That window has passed, as has a separate open-access Steam Next Fest period in October 2024. The game’s live service was scheduled to end on February 25, 2026, a date that has also passed.
What was SUPERVIVE?
Theorycraft Games described SUPERVIVE as a free-to-play, squad-based hero battle royale set on a sky-bound map. Its launch-era pitch centered on teams using character abilities and equipment, completing objectives, and fighting as a closing storm pushed squads toward a last-team-standing finish. The studio cited two- and four-player squads as well as 4v4 deathmatches. These were the studio’s descriptions in 2024, not an independent assessment or confirmation of the game’s final feature set.

The studio said slots were limited because of server constraints. Its announcement described a Twitch Drops campaign in which watching more SUPERVIVE streams raised a player’s chance of selection, and linked to pre-registration. Those terms applied to the June 2024 test; they are not instructions for getting into the game now.
How did the October 2024 Steam access differ?
SUPERVIVE later had a separate access period during Steam Next Fest. In a Steam post dated October 7, 2024, the game’s page said everyone could play on Steam from October 14 through October 21 and described Steam as the game’s permanent home going forward. This was open access, unlike the limited-slot June playtest, and it too has ended. Read the Steam Next Fest announcement.
| Access event | Dates | Access model | Platform |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public playtest | June 27–July 4, 2024 | Limited slots; the studio said Twitch viewing could improve selection odds | Not stated in the June announcement |
| Steam Next Fest | October 14–21, 2024 | Open to everyone | Steam |
Why were Bungie and Riot Games mentioned?
The headline refers to the founders’ previous studio experience, not to Bungie or Riot developing or publishing SUPERVIVE. Theorycraft’s June 2024 release named founding team members Joe Tung, Mike Tipul, Michael Evans, and Areeb Pirani, and described them as former studio leaders at Riot Games, Bungie, and Blizzard.
In that announcement, Theorycraft CEO Joe Tung said the founders had left “the security of our AAA jobs” to make a bet on themselves and develop “out in the open with real players from day one.” The quote reflects the studio’s stated approach to development at the time.

What happened to SUPERVIVE?
The official SUPERVIVE Steam news listing includes an end-of-service announcement dated December 16, 2025. It said the live service would end February 25, 2026; that date has passed. The game’s Steam news listing is the official source for that notice.
Theorycraft’s current homepage says SUPERVIVE released in 2024 and that the studio is working on its next game. The homepage also claims the game grew from a small Discord playtesting community to more than two million global players and an 85% positive Steam rating, but it does not give a measurement date. Those are the studio’s undated claims, not independently verified or dated statistics. Visit Theorycraft Games.
Can you still play SUPERVIVE?
The end-of-service notice establishes that the live service was due to end on February 25, 2026. The official materials cited here do not establish whether an archived build, private server, or other playable version remains available after that date, so continued play should not be assumed.
