What did Forte say its platform offered game publishers?
Forte described its product as a set of tools for integrating blockchain features into games, rather than a consumer game or a physical product. Its 2021 announcement listed:
- Embeddable token wallets
- NFT minting and sales
- Payment rails
- Services for managing token economies and digital assets
Forte also said its compliance and security products addressed money transmission, anti-money-laundering, tax compliance, and intellectual-property protection. These were the company’s descriptions of its capabilities, not independently verified product-performance findings.

What does Forte describe as its Rules Engine now?
In current product materials, Forte describes a Rules Engine for gaming and other token-driven blockchain applications. The company lists controls for KYC and sanctions-list validation, risk-based transaction limits, lockups and vesting schedules, token minting, burning and transfer limits, and management of fungible and non-fungible EVM tokens. Forte says Ethereum and Polygon are compatible and that other chains are coming. On December 21, 2021, Zynga and Forte announced a strategic alliance to pursue blockchain games. The announcement establishes that the alliance was announced on that date; it does not establish its present status. In the announcement, Forte co-founder and CEO Josh Williams said: “We have built the Forte platform with best-in-class interoperability mechanics and compliance measures in our continuing efforts to bring safety, stability and trust to both developers and players,” Zynga’s announcement.
