Fortnite 31.30’s official release notes focus on Creative, Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), and Verse—not a complete list of Battle Royale changes. The biggest additions are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles island-building content, an experimental first-person camera device, and LEGO Scary Space tools. Epic’s Season 31 release-notes index places the season’s coverage between August 16 and November 2, 2024.
What Fortnite 31.30 covers
Epic titled its version-specific page “31.30 Fortnite Ecosystem Updates and Release Notes” and identifies Creative, UEFN, and Verse in the subtitle. It is useful as a creator-focused update summary, but it does not establish the full set of Battle Royale gameplay changes. See Epic’s 31.30 release notes for the complete official list.
Build Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles islands
Creators can use TMNT-themed templates and content in Creative and UEFN, including the Arcade and City Starter templates, weapons, devices, NPCs, prefabs, and galleries. The named weapons are Leonardo’s Katanas, Michelangelo’s Nunchucks, Raphael’s Sai, and Donatello’s Staff; TMNT Pizza is also included.
Publishing a TMNT island requires accepting additional Creator Portal terms. Under those terms, 15% of the engagement payout for TMNT islands is shared with Paramount Pictures. Epic says creators who have already accepted the LEGO island terms do not need to sign again, and directs creators to its TMNT Brand and Creator Rules.

First Person Camera Mode is experimental
The Gameplay Mode: First Person Device lets creators build first-person experiences. In the 31.30 notes, Epic describes basic weapon animations for selected Chapter 5, Season 1 weapons, screen-space alignment when firing, reloading, and aiming down sights, and basic walking, running, and idle locomotion.
Epic described the feature as experimental and said islands could be published once it reached Beta later that year. That was the status stated in the 2024 release notes, not confirmation of its current availability or status. Epic warns that experimental assets may not be backward compatible and that experimental APIs may change or be removed.

These are 31.30-era policy statements; the release notes do not establish whether those program rules remain current.
