Fortnite Battle Royale’s Chapter 5 Season 3, Wrecked, was a wasteland-themed season built around Nitro-powered movement and vehicle combat. It launched on May 24, 2024, and ended August 15, 2024, at 11 PM ET. Fallout’s T-60 Power Armor and Nuka-Cola joined the season, while Wastelander Magneto was planned as Battle Pass quest content for July 2024.
What was Fortnite: Wrecked?
Epic Games announced Wrecked on May 24, 2024, for Fortnite Battle Royale. A sandstorm had reshaped the island’s south into a wasteland biome, with three named locations: Redline Rig, Nitrodrome and Brutal Beachhead. Wasteland Warriors and vehicle-focused combat were central to the season’s theme.
The season and its Battle Pass were scheduled to end on August 15, 2024, at 11 PM ET. That date was Epic’s updated end time, not the season’s original announcement date. Epic’s season announcement and season update notes document the setting and features.
What did Fallout and Magneto add?
Fallout’s T-60 Power Armor and Nuka-Cola
The Fallout crossover brought the T-60 Power Armor Outfit to the Battle Pass. Nuka-Cola was an in-game consumable that restored some health and shield over time. These were Fortnite season features, not a separate Fallout game mode.

Wastelander Magneto
Epic announced the Wastelander Magneto Outfit as Battle Pass quest content planned for July 2024. The announcement did not give a specific unlock day. Its wording was: “The Wasteland Warriors aren’t the only forces of the wasteland… Unlock the Wastelander Magneto Outfit from Battle Pass Quests in July!” That was a plan for the 2024 season, not a statement about current availability. Epic’s announcement lists the crossover and Battle Pass content.
How did vehicle mods work?
Vehicles were more than transportation: mods let players configure cars for attacks, ramming or rougher terrain. To attach one, drive a car into a Vehicle Mod Box. Epic explained, “No mechanical experience is required — just hit a Vehicle Mod Box with your car to attach the mod.” Each mod occupied a slot, and a mod could be replaced with another in that slot.

The choice depended on what a car needed to do: turrets added passenger-fired attacks, bumpers and Cow Catchers supported collisions, Bulletproof Tires helped preserve the wheels, and Chonkers favored off-road driving. Epic’s feature list does not establish that any one option was objectively best or more likely to win.
Nitro and vehicle upkeep
Nitro affected both cars and players. On a Nitro-fied car, Epic listed increased driving speed and ramming power, reduced fuel consumption, and a boost to attached attack mods. For a Nitro-fied player, the listed effects were increased movement and bashing power, reduced stamina consumption, faster reloads and immunity to fall damage.

Repair Boxes, Repair Torches and Service Stations supported vehicle upkeep. A Repair Torch could also fix a popped tire or broken window. Epic’s feature breakdown describes the mods, Nitro effects and repair options.

Epic stated that the Wrecked Battle Pass cost 950 V-Bucks and that players could earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks back by leveling it. Those were the terms for this 2024 season, not a current offer. The updated end time for the season and Battle Pass was August 15, 2024, at 11 PM ET. Epic’s announcement covers the outfits and pass, while its update notes give the updated end time.
Did tournament rules include the same vehicle features?
No. Epic’s tournament notes excluded features including drivable vehicles, vehicle mods, Repair Torches, Service Stations and War Buses. The broad Battle Royale feature list should therefore not be read as a description of tournament play. Epic’s notes list the exclusions but do not explain the reason for each one. The tournament details distinguish those rules from the season’s general feature set.
