Fortnite’s second Marvel-themed season was Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, a 2024 Battle Royale chapter built around Doctor Doom’s arrival on the island. His Latverian domain, new locations, Marvel-themed gear, Battle Pass outfits and limited-time Doom events all supported the same conflict: players fighting Doom’s forces—or, in one mode, fighting for him. The Battle Pass progression period and featured events ended in 2024, so this is a look back, not a guide to current offers.
What was Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season?
Epic Games launched Absolute Doom on August 16, 2024, as Chapter 5 Season 4. In the season’s story, Doctor Doom used the power of Pandora’s Box to bring his Latverian domain to the island and establish a foothold there. Marvel characters joined the fight against his forces. Epic’s season announcement framed Doom as the central threat and the island as the battleground.

That premise shaped the season’s map, loot and progression. Rather than being a standalone Doctor Doom game, Absolute Doom was a themed Fortnite Battle Royale season with a Marvel storyline and a mix of character outfits, combat items and time-limited activities.
What changed on the island?
Three of the season’s new locations were Castle Doom, Doomstadt and The Raft. The first two brought Doom’s presence directly into the landscape; The Raft added another recognizable Marvel setting to explore and fight over.

The season also introduced or featured a selection of themed weapons and items, including the Monarch Pistol, Sovereign Shotgun, Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets and Captain America’s Shield, alongside the returning Striker Burst Rifle. These examples give a sense of the season’s Marvel-focused arsenal; they are not an exhaustive list of every item available during the season.
Which outfits were in the Absolute Doom Battle Pass?
Epic listed Gwenpool, War Machine, Peelverine, Emma Frost, Captain Jones, Mysterio and Shuri as Battle Pass outfits. Doctor Doom was tied to a later quest unlock rather than being listed among those initial outfits. In its August 16 announcement, Epic said, “Take up the mantle of the mad Doctor himself — the Doom Outfit will be available from Battle Pass Quests in September!” That was a promise about the 2024 season, not an indication that the quests remain available.

Epic announced a Battle Pass price of 950 V-Bucks and said players could earn up to 1,500 V-Bucks by leveling up. The pass could be progressed through November 2, 2024 at 2 AM ET; those figures and dates describe the original offer, not a current purchase opportunity. Epic’s launch post has the season’s original pass details.
What were the Doctor Doom quests and limited-time events?
Doom quests and the Isle of Doom
Epic’s September 4, 2024 announcement outlined Doctor Doom quests and rewards, plus a limited chance for the Isle of Doom to appear in place of Loot Island. Epic later updated that post to set the Isle of Doom’s end time as October 5, 2024 at 1 PM ET. The event was part of the season’s temporary content, not a permanent map change. Day of Doom
Day of Doom was a 32-player limited-time mode announced by Epic on September 17, 2024. It divided players into teams aligned with the season’s conflict: Doom’s forces and the heroes opposing him. The mode was available through Discover until October 4, 2024 at 9 AM ET, according to Epic’s announcement. It is not a currently available mode based on that published end date.

Marvel’s DOOM TREASURY EDITION is an optional Doctor Doom comic collection, not a Fortnite tie-in or a required companion to understand Absolute Doom. Marvel lists the trade paperback as published March 19, 2025, collecting Doom (2024) #1, Fantastic Four (1998) #583 and Runaways (2015) #1.
