Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 launched on December 1, 2024, with a Japanese-inspired setting and four new movement features: Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble. Epic confirmed those details at launch; pre-release claims about swinging or prone movement are not confirmed by the official sources cited here. Chapter 6 is now historical coverage: Epic announced Chapter Seven in November 2025.

Was Fortnite Chapter 6 Japanese themed?

Yes. Epic Games described Chapter 6 Season 1 as Japanese-inspired in its December 1, 2024 launch announcement, which named the season 鬼 HUNTERS. Epic Games Japan’s announcement used the title 鬼ノ島, translated as “Demon Island.” These official launch descriptions confirm the theme; they do not validate every pre-release claim about the season.

Which Chapter 6 movement leaks were confirmed?

Epic’s launch announcement confirmed four additions to Fortnite’s core movement. Their triggers and purposes differ:

Feature How it works What it is for
Ledge Jump Jump while sprinting close to a ledge. Travel farther than with a normal jump.
Roll Landing Hold Jump or tap it just before hitting the ground while falling. Roll on landing and restore some stamina.
Wall Kick Jump against a vertical surface at your side. Launch away in a chosen direction. Epic says the move can chain into a mantle, a roll landing, or another wall kick.
Wall Scramble Jump toward a vertical surface. Run several strides up it. If the surface has a ledge you can mantle, you climb automatically; Jump can trigger a wall kick during the move.

Epic’s launch article said: “Chapter 6 adds Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble to the core movement of Fortnite!” The statement confirms what launched, rather than establishing that all four moves remain active in every mode today.

Did swinging or prone movement arrive?

The official sources cited here do not confirm pre-release claims about swinging or prone movement as Chapter 6 features. Treat those claims as unverified rumors, not launch-confirmed mechanics. The confirmed list in Epic’s announcement is Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble.

Where were the new mechanics available?

Epic’s launch coverage described the features across Battle Royale, Reload, and creator-made islands. Separately, Epic’s Fortnite Creative movement documentation lists configurable creator options, including Roll Landing and Wall Kick. That documentation shows creators can configure those movements; it does not provide a current, complete mode-by-mode availability list for Battle Royale or Epic-made modes.

Why this is a retrospective, not a current leak alert

Chapter 6 Season 1 launched December 1, 2024. Epic’s November 29, 2025 announcement, “Surf to a New Island in Fortnite BR Chapter Seven!”, confirms that the game had moved on to Chapter Seven by then. The Chapter 6 claims discussed here should therefore be read as a check of what its launch confirmed, not as current leak news.
