The cinematic introduced the tone; the season’s island and features expanded the setting. Epic described an island combining cherry blossoms and spiritual forces with traditional, modern, and supernatural environments. Locations included Warrior’s Watch, Flooded Frogs, Shogun’s Solitude, Seaport City, Canyon Crossing, Magic Mosses, and Nightshift Forest, as well as the Great Turtle.

The demon-hunting theme also appeared in the season’s bosses and equipment. Shogun X was a demon warrior who dropped the Wanderer Medallion, while Night Rose’s medallion caused weapons to reload themselves. The official season announcement listed the following weapons and supernatural tools:
- Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Fury Assault Rifle, Veiled Precision SMG, and Surgefire SMG.
- Sentinel Pump, Twinfire Auto Shotgun, and Oni Shotgun.
- Typhoon Blade, Fire Oni Mask, and Void Oni Mask.
Epic also said traditional Battle Royale weapons in Chapter 6 would use hitscan. These details describe the season’s wider gameplay context; they should not be read as a scene-by-scene account of what the cinematic shows.
Movement, Sprites, vehicles, and building
Chapter 6 Season 1 added movement options and other systems alongside its combat gear. Air, Water, and Earth Sprites could be found, with Sprite Shrines and Boons among the advertised mechanics. The Rogue Bike and Void Burn were the season’s named vehicles.
Four movement abilities supported traversal: Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble. The season also introduced Simple Edit, a toggleable building setting that let players edit builds with a single button press, but offered fewer options than the existing edit system.

What was in the Hunters Battle Pass?
Epic announced the 鬼 HUNTERS Battle Pass at 1,000 V-Bucks, with up to 1,500 V-Bucks earnable through progression. Its announced outfits were Nyanja, Jade, Kendo, Daigo, Shadow Blade Hope, Disney’s Hero Baymax, and The Night Rose. Epic also said the Godzilla Evolved Outfit would be available through Battle Pass quests in January 2025.
Those were the announced terms and rewards for this past season, which ended on February 21, 2025 at 2 AM ET. They do not establish what is available to buy now.
