Chun-Li stands out in Fortnite for her Nostalgia Variant and built-in Lightning Kick emote. Compared with the other Street Fighter Outfits, the main differences are each character’s alternate look, included Back Bling, signature emote, and—in Blanka’s case—reactive cosmetic behavior. These are digital cosmetics, so the distinctions are visual and cosmetic rather than gameplay advantages.
How Chun-Li compares with every other Street Fighter Outfit
| Outfit | Styles and inspiration | Signature cosmetics | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chun-Li | Classic Outfit and Nostalgia Variant | Super Cab-Masher Back Bling; built-in Lightning Kick emote. The Seven Star Flashing Flail Pickaxe was sold separately. | Her announced set pairs the Nostalgia look with arcade-themed accessories. Epic’s February 20, 2021 announcement describes the outfit and its accessories. |
| Ryu | Traditional white gi, black belt and red headband, or Battle variant | Training Bag Back Bling; built-in Shoryuken emote | His two announced looks contrast the traditional gi with the Battle variant. Epic’s announcement covers Ryu and Chun-Li together. |
| Cammy | Classic Outfit and Tactical Cammy Variant | Borealis Backer Back Bling | The Tactical variant and Delta Red-themed accessories distinguish her. Epic’s August 3, 2021 announcement says the Cammy & Guile bundle included both outfits, their Back Blings and a loading screen. |
| Guile | Classic green fatigues and Glistening Guile Variant | K.O. Back Bling | His alternate look contrasts with the classic fatigues. A separate gear bundle listed the Knuckle Buster Pickaxe, Delta Red Bowie Blade Pickaxe and V-Trigger Vector Glider; it was distinct from the outfit bundle. Epic’s announcement describes both bundles. |
| Blanka | Blanka Outfit and Blanka Delgado alternate Style, inspired by Boman Delgado from Rival Schools | Blanka-Chan Back Bling, which grows more electrified as eliminations accrue during a match; built-in Blanka Backflip emote; Tropical Hazard Kebab Pickaxe | The crossover-inspired style and reactive Back Bling make his set distinctive. Epic’s April 26, 2022 announcement describes Blanka and Sakura. |
| Sakura | Sakura Outfit and Sakura Gym alternate Style, inspired by a Street Fighter IV alternate | Hanakaze Claw Back Bling; built-in Sakura’s Victory Sway emote; Fighting Tournament Trophy Pickaxe and Kayari Buta Glider | Her Gym alternate and victory-themed accessories distinguish her set. Epic’s announcement gives the set details. |
What makes Chun-Li different?
Her alternate look
Chun-Li has a Classic Outfit and a Nostalgia Variant. That named alternate style is the clearest visual distinction from the other fighters’ variants: Ryu has a Battle look, Cammy a Tactical variant, Guile a Glistening variant, Blanka a Blanka Delgado style, and Sakura a Gym style.
Her emote and Back Bling
Chun-Li’s built-in Lightning Kick emote and Super Cab-Masher Back Bling are associated with her Outfit. The Seven Star Flashing Flail Pickaxe, by contrast, was identified as sold separately, so it should not be treated as an included part of the Outfit.
Which other sets have notable extras?
Cammy and Guile: distinguish the outfit bundle from the gear bundle
Epic described a Cammy & Guile bundle containing both Outfits and their Back Blings, with a loading screen bonus. The separate gear bundle listed two Pickaxes and a Glider. The gear bundle should not be confused with the bundle that contained the Outfits.
