If a Fortnite Item Shop purchase isn’t showing up, restart Fortnite, then confirm you’re signed in to the Epic account and platform used to buy it. Check your transaction history before trying again. Epic says purchases made on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or Samsung devices can take up to two hours to appear. If the purchase still isn’t there, contact the store that processed the payment.
Work through these checks first
- Restart Fortnite. Close and reopen the game to refresh the displayed balance or item inventory. Epic recommends restarting when purchased V-Bucks have not appeared. Epic’s missing V-Bucks troubleshooting.
- Sign in on the platform where you bought V-Bucks. Epic says online V-Bucks are added when you sign in to Fortnite on the same platform used for the purchase. A PlayStation purchase, for example, should be checked by signing in on PlayStation. V-Bucks purchases do not include a redemption code and cannot be gifted to another account. - Verify the Epic account, not just the console profile. Compare the Epic Games account ID shown in your account settings with the account linked to the Fortnite profile you are playing. If you are signed into a different Epic account, a purchase can appear to be missing even when it belongs to another account.
- Allow the stated processing window when it applies. Epic says purchases made on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, or Samsung devices can take up to two hours to appear. - Check whether payment completed before buying again. Open your Epic account’s Transaction History and look for the order. If no transaction appears, check with your bank or payment provider before retrying; otherwise, you risk being charged twice. Epic’s missing V-Bucks troubleshooting.
- Check the balance on the purchase platform. Some V-Bucks are redeemable only on a specified platform, while other balance categories can be used across platforms. Review the V-Bucks balance sections in your Epic account and check the balance on the platform where you made the purchase. Who to contact if the purchase is still missing
Contact the organization that processed the payment. For purchases made through PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo, contact that platform’s support: Epic says it cannot process refunds or investigate purchases made through those stores. For a purchase made through the Epic Games Store that remains missing after the checks above, submit an Epic support request and include the order number, amount, and platform you play on. If the problem is not a missing completed purchase
The PlayStation Item Shop or Buy V-Bucks screen is blank
A blank shop screen is a display or access problem, not proof that a purchase went through. Epic identifies a license or cache issue as possible causes and directs players to PlayStation’s instructions for restoring licenses and using Safe Mode to clear the cache or rebuild the database. The Fortnite Web Shop shows the wrong balance
For a Web Shop display mismatch, use the Refresh control beside the balance, then select “Sync Now.” This refreshes the web display; it does not replace checking the purchase platform, Epic account, or transaction record. Epic’s Web Shop balance guidance.

An item is listed online but cannot be purchased
A searchable Web Shop listing may remain visible after the item is no longer available. Check its end date. The Item Shop rotates, and the item may return later; this is different from an item you already purchased failing to appear in your account. Epic’s Item Shop guidance.
The item appeared, but you want to undo the purchase
That is a return or cancellation question, not a missing-purchase issue. Epic says Cancel Purchase is available for most eligible cosmetics within 24 hours if the item has not been used or equipped. Eligible purchases made within the last 30 days may qualify for a Return Ticket. A return removes the item and returns V-Bucks. Epic’s purchase return guidance.
