Yes—but the claim was about Fortnite Festival Season 8 in 2025, not an upcoming season in 2026. Insider Gaming reported the rumor on January 28, 2025; Epic Games officially confirmed Sabrina Carpenter as the season’s icon on April 7, ahead of its April 8 launch.
What the original claim said
On January 28, 2025, Insider Gaming reported that Fortnite Festival’s next season would seemingly focus on Sabrina Carpenter. The article attributed the claim to Shpeshal Nick via ShiinaBR, making it an insider report rather than an announcement from Epic Games. Read Insider Gaming’s report.

How Epic confirmed the rumor
Epic announced on April 7, 2025 that Sabrina Carpenter would be the icon for Festival Season 8, which began April 8. The collaboration included Sabrina outfits and cosmetics, with Jam Tracks distributed through the Music Pass and Item Shop. The Music Pass included “Juno” and “Nonsense.” See Epic’s Season 8 announcement.
Why “next season” is now historical
The original headline’s “next season” meant the season that followed the January 2025 report: Season 8. Epic’s Festival news archive goes on to list later headliners, including Chappell Roan for Season 13, Laufey for Season 14, and Lil Tecca for Season 15, announced July 27, 2026.
