Fortnite’s KPop Demon Hunters collaboration launched on October 2, 2025, with the Demon Rush limited-time mode and KPop Demon Hunters content for Fortnite Creative and UEFN. The reported Demon Rush run ended November 1, 2025, so it is not part of the currently verified lineup as of October 8, 2026; Epic’s live Discover page lists creator-made islands, not a confirmed return of the mode.
When did the Fortnite KPop Demon Hunters collab come out?
Epic’s v37.40 Fortnite Ecosystem Updates and Release Notes date the update to October 2, 2025, and say KPop Demon Hunters content arrived in UEFN and Fortnite Creative that day. A contemporaneous TechRadar report published October 2, 2025 also described the collaboration as arriving in Fortnite that day.
Epic’s creator announcement said the KPop Demon Hunters Game Collections page was scheduled to appear in Discover on October 3, 2025, at 12 PM ET. That collection was intended to surface creator-made islands using the collaboration’s tools; it was separate from the launch date of the collaboration itself.
When did Demon Rush start and end—and is it still in Fortnite?
Demon Rush was a limited-time, Horde Rush-style survival mode. TechRadar reported its availability as October 2 through November 1, 2025. That original window has passed, and the sources available here do not verify a later return. Fortnite’s KPop Demon Hunters Discover page lists creator-made islands, but that is not evidence that Demon Rush is playable again.

How Demon Rush worked
Epic’s description, reproduced by TechRadar, said: “Recruit Rumi, Mira, or Zoey as you fight endless waves of faceless demons, while also loading up on Kpop Demon Hunters inspired perks between each Survival Phase.” In practical terms, the mode centered on surviving enemy waves, recruiting one of the HUNTR/X characters, and choosing themed perks between phases.
Which characters, skins, and items were included?
Rumi, Mira, and Zoey are the HUNTR/X characters at the center of the collaboration. TechRadar reported that the Item Shop offered their outfits, accessories, and emotes, as well as a HUNTR/X Bundle. The available sources do not establish the exact start or end date for each Item Shop listing, or whether any of the cosmetics have returned since.
Epic’s creator documentation names these gameplay items for KPop Demon Hunters islands:
- Rumi’s Empowered Sword
- Mira’s X-tra Spicy Ramyeon
- Zoey’s Bubble Shield
- Tiger’s Teleporting Mask
Names can differ across content types. TechRadar used “Zoey’s Golden Bubble Shield” and “Derpy Teleporter Mask” for items in Battle Royale, Reload, and Blitz. Epic’s creator-tool documentation uses “Zoey’s Bubble Shield” and “Tiger’s Teleporting Mask.” The similar descriptions should not be treated as proof that the names refer to identical implementations in every mode.

What could creators build with the collaboration?
Epic released a starter island and UEFN and Creative assets for building themed experiences. The tools included hireable HUNTR/X characters, demon enemies and spawners, gameplay items, themed environmental assets, UI, visual effects, and Honmoon effects. Epic’s technical documentation describes the starter island’s route through an alley, a bathhouse, and a plaza. Creators could also submit islands for Epic’s Picks, according to the creator announcement.
Rules for using the licensed assets
Epic’s KPop Demon Hunters Brand Rules set conditions for published creator islands. They require creators to use approved assets, prohibit redistributing the licensed assets or combining them with third-party IP, and do not permit use of the official film soundtrack in an island. Epic says Netflix retains rights to the characters and assets.
For creators who publish an island containing the licensed assets, Epic says 15% of that island’s engagement payout is shared with Netflix. The rules also state that in-island transactions are not currently supported for this IP. These are creator-publishing terms, not restrictions on ordinary players using Fortnite cosmetics.
What is still available now?
As of October 8, 2026, the live Discover page provides access to creator-made KPop Demon Hunters islands. It does not confirm that the Demon Rush limited-time mode has returned. Likewise, the launch-day reporting establishes that the Item Shop featured collaboration cosmetics, but does not establish their current availability or a full shop schedule.
