Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 3 launched on March 25, 2025, bringing Lucky Landing back, a meteor into the sky, and classic weapons and items into the loot pool over the course of the season. Epic also brought back limited-time OG 50v50 and introduced a 45-tier OG Pass. These are historical update details, not a claim that the season or its offers are still available.
What was new in Fortnite OG Season 3?
Epic’s March 25, 2025 announcement moved Fortnite OG into Chapter 1 Season 3. The update’s central changes were the return of Lucky Landing, a meteor visible in the sky that would approach as the season progressed, and a changing selection of classic gear. Supply Llamas and vending machines were also on the Island from day one.
Did Lucky Landing return in Fortnite OG?
Yes. Lucky Landing returned with the Season 3 launch. Epic also said a meteor would appear in the sky and get closer as the season progressed, making its approach part of the season’s unfolding map changes. Epic’s Season 3 announcement introduced both changes on March 25, 2025.
What weapons and items came back?
Epic described these items as entering the loot pool throughout the season, rather than all being available at launch:

The announcement gives the three live items a publication-time status; it does not establish a specific release date for each of the remaining items. Epic’s announcement lists the returning gear.
When did OG 50v50 end?
OG 50v50 returned as a limited-time mode with two teams of 50 players. Epic said it would be available until April 14 at 9 AM ET; its announcement did not specify the year alongside that end date. The mode called for fighting, looting, and building alongside 49 teammates. Epic’s announcement provides the team format and stated end time.

What gameplay details changed?
Supply Llamas and vending machines were present on the Island from day one. In Zero Build, players could gather materials to use vending machines and place Traps on the landscape. These details brought familiar Chapter 1 mechanics into the OG season, including a way to use gathered materials even in Zero Build.

The OG Pass had 45 tiers and drew inspiration from the original Chapter 1 Season 3. Its rewards included items inspired by Power Chord, Raven, and Rex. Epic said XP earned in any Fortnite experience counted toward Pass progression.
