When did Fortnite OG Season 3 start?
It started on March 25, 2025. Epic Games’ Season 3 announcement was dated that day and said, “Fall into the action: Season 3 starts today!” The date is historical, not a future March release window.
What came back in OG Season 3?
Lucky Landing and the meteor
Lucky Landing returned as a small town with close-quarters streets and cherry blossoms. Epic also featured a meteor in the sky, describing it as being on a collision course.

How did OG 50v50 work, and when did it end?
OG 50v50 put two teams of 50 players against each other. Epic described it as a limited-time mode available until April 14, 2025, at 9 AM ET. That was the announced end of the mode’s Season 3 window, not a current availability schedule.
What was in the Season 3 OG Pass?
The pass had 45 tiers of rewards. Epic named Power Punk, Mecha R3X, and Sir Raven among its premium Outfits; Power Punk was claimable immediately after purchase. Epic stated that the Season 3 pass cost 1,000 V-Bucks or could be accessed through Fortnite Crew. Players could earn XP in any Fortnite experience toward free and premium rewards.

Was Fortnite OG free to play?
Epic’s Epic Games Store listing describes Fortnite OG as free. The OG Pass is a separate offering: the listing says a new pass is available each OG season for V-Bucks or through Fortnite Crew. The 1,000 V-Bucks figure above is the price Epic gave for the 2025 Season 3 pass, not a claim about later seasons.
Why was OG Season 3 part of an ongoing mode?
Fortnite OG was not presented as a one-off Season 3 event. In its December 5, 2024 announcement, Epic said the mode was returning “and always on, every day,” with shortened Chapter 1 seasons. The announcement about Fortnite OG’s return provides that context; Epic’s store listing says OG seasons run approximately two months.
