Quack Sprite is a Part 4 Sprite Mastery reward in Fortnite. Its defining benefit is that whenever Quack gains progress, every other Sprite in your match inventory receives an additional 50% of that progress. It is most valuable when you are carrying several Sprites and actively earning progress through exploration, eliminations, and extraction.
Epic has not published a permanent Quack location or a fixed numeric drop-rate percentage. You obtain it through the Sprite Mastery progression track when that seasonal content is available, then use Sprite Dust to resummon an extracted Quack before a match.

What is Quack Sprite?
Quack is a collectible Sprite variant, not a conventional weapon, consumable, or map item with a permanent spawn point. Epic added it as a Part 4 Sprite Mastery unlock in the v41.30 update notes. Like other Sprites, it can be found and equipped during a match, giving the player access to a Sprite Power.
The important distinction is between discovering a Sprite during a match and mastering it permanently. A Sprite earns progress while you play. When you extract a max-level Sprite, it becomes mastered and unlocks progression rewards. Quack therefore belongs to a longer collection and mastery system rather than a one-match loot chase.

Sprite content is not available in competitive modes. If you are playing a competitive playlist, the absence of Quack and other Sprites is a mode rule rather than evidence that your account, map, or drop luck is malfunctioning.
Where can you find Quack Sprite?
There is no permanent map location
Epic’s published information does not give Quack a fixed named landmark, chest coordinate, or permanent percentage chance. It also does not provide a numeric Quack drop rate. Guides that claim a universal percentage or a location that works every season are going beyond the available information.
Use the Sprite Mastery track
The supported acquisition route is the Part 4 Sprite Mastery progression track. The track becomes relevant when its seasonal content is active, so availability can change after a patch or when an event ends. Check the live in-game mastery screen and event timer rather than assuming that an older season’s route is still active.
What Lucky Locator does
The Lucky Locator is a Gizmo that guarantees a chest containing a Sprite you have not collected. It can make collection more predictable, but the guarantee is for an uncollected Sprite, not a published promise that every Locator produces Quack. Whether Quack can be selected by that system depends on the currently active collection and event rules.
How the Sprite system works
Finding and equipping a Sprite
Epic describes Sprites as little helpers on the battlefield. You find one during a match, equip it, and receive its special Sprite Power. Quack’s distinctive value is progression support; it does not replace the ordinary requirements for finding, carrying, and extracting Sprites.

- Exploration, including finding and opening Chests.
- Eliminations.
- Extraction.
Extracting a Sprite at max level masters it and unlocks progression rewards. The system therefore rewards both moment-to-moment activity and a successful end to the match.

What happens when a player is eliminated
If you are eliminated before banking a Sprite, the Sprite is left on the battlefield and another player can pick it up during that match. That is a same-match ground drop, not an automatic account-level return in the next game.
What does Quack Sprite do?
The 50% progress bonus
Whenever Quack gains progress, every other Sprite carried in your match inventory gains an extra 50% of that progress. The bonus is applied separately to each other carried Sprite. For example, if Quack earns 80 progress from an eligible action, each other Sprite in your inventory receives an additional 40 progress from Quack’s effect.
Quack does not need to be the only Sprite you carry for its effect to work. In fact, carrying multiple Sprites is the situation in which the effect has the greatest practical value. With only Quack present, there is no second Sprite to receive the bonus.
What the effect does not establish
Epic has not published a separate Quack leveling curve, a special progress table, or an additional cap beyond the stated extra 50%. Do not assume that the bonus doubles at a certain level, applies to Sprites outside your match inventory, or increases Quack’s own progress. The documented rule concerns the other Sprites you are carrying when Quack gains progress.

- Carry Quack alongside the Sprites you want to level or master.
- Prioritize normal progress actions—opening Chests, exploring, securing eliminations, and extracting—rather than waiting for a special Quack-only activity.
- Protect the run when several Sprites are close to max level, because extraction is what converts a max-level Sprite into mastery and rewards.
- Remember that Quack improves progression; it is not described as a direct combat, mobility, or loot multiplier by itself.
How do Quack Sprite drops and extractions work?
“Drop” can mean two different things in Fortnite’s Sprite system: a Sprite appearing as match loot, or a Sprite being dropped after its carrier is eliminated. Quack’s account-level acquisition is tied to Sprite Mastery, while a battlefield drop is temporary and can be picked up by another player.

Can you respawn or resummon Quack Sprite?
Resummoning an extracted Quack
After you have successfully extracted Quack, you can spend Sprite Dust before a match to summon it again. Dust also upgrades Sprite powers and loot. This is the documented account-level way to bring an already extracted Sprite into a future match.
There is no documented automatic respawn timer
Epic does not describe a timed Quack respawn that causes the Sprite to reappear at a particular location after it is lost. Treat “respawn” as one of two supported situations: resummoning an already extracted Sprite with Dust before a match, or picking up a Sprite that another player dropped during the current match.
Dust spending cannot be undone
Sprite Dust spent on resummons cannot be reset. Plan repeated Quack runs around the Dust you actually have, especially if you are also upgrading Sprite powers or loot.
What happens if you die and lose Quack?
Unbanked Quack can remain in the match
If you are eliminated before banking Quack, it is left where you fell and another player may pick it up. The published rules do not promise that an unbanked Quack is restored to your inventory automatically after the match.
A mastered Sprite can return to level 1
Epic’s support guidance says that if a mastered Sprite returns to level 1 after you lose it—either by being eliminated or by dropping it in the previous match—that behavior is intended. The reset affects the Sprite’s current level, not the mastery unlock itself.
Mastery remains unlocked
Even after that level reset, mastery remains unlocked and is shown with a crown icon. This means losing a mastered Quack can make you rebuild its level progress, but it does not erase the fact that you earned the mastery reward.

What is the Sprite Dust limit?
Sprite Dust is the currency used for pre-match Sprite resummons and for upgrading Sprite powers and loot. Epic’s support article lists a maximum balance of 200,000 Sprite Dust during Chapter 7 Season 4 Override. That number is season-specific, so it should be checked again after a major update or seasonal transition.

Successful extractions are the documented way to earn Dust during play. Because Dust used for resummons cannot be reset, spending at the cap can be sensible, but keep enough available for the Sprite you intend to summon next. The exact Dust price for a particular resummon or upgrade is not established in the cited material, so do not rely on an assumed universal cost.
Seasonal limits you should watch
Event and playlist availability
Sprites and their mastery tracks can be seasonal. A track, Gizmo, or collection rule that was available in one chapter or season may not be active in the next. Always confirm the live event timer and the playlist’s rules before planning a Quack run.
Extraction Gizmo expiration
Extraction Gizmos earned during Chapter 7 Season 3 expire when that season ends. Having one in an older inventory does not guarantee that it remains usable after the seasonal cutoff.

Quack is a progression-focused choice. Its value grows with the number of other Sprites in your match inventory and with the number of progress actions you complete while carrying them. A player focused on mastering several Sprites gets more from the bonus than a player who carries Quack alone.
When comparing Quack with another Sprite, evaluate four questions:

- Progress sharing: Does the alternative help several carried Sprites, or only provide its own power?
- Acquisition route: Is it obtained through mastery, a chest, an event, or extraction?
- Gameplay purpose: Does its defining effect help progression, combat, loot, mobility, or collection?
- Resummon planning: Can you afford the Dust cost and is the Sprite still eligible in the current season?
The available Epic information does not provide a complete numeric balance table for every Sprite, so those comparisons should stay qualitative unless the game itself displays a value.
Quack Sprite troubleshooting
Quack is not appearing on the map
Do not search for a permanent Quack landmark or assume a missing percentage roll. Check whether Part 4 Sprite Mastery and the relevant seasonal event are active, and use the in-game mastery interface to confirm the unlock conditions.
The other Sprites are not gaining the bonus
Verify that Quack is equipped and that the other Sprites are actually carried in your match inventory. The bonus is triggered when Quack gains progress, so perform a documented progress action such as opening a Chest, securing an elimination, or extracting. It is not described as a passive account-wide bonus for Sprites left outside the current inventory.

This is intended behavior for a mastered Sprite that was lost by elimination or dropping it. Look for the crown icon to confirm that mastery remains unlocked, then rebuild the current level through normal match progress.
The resummon option is unavailable
Confirm that you have extracted Quack at least once, are spending Dust before the match, have enough Dust for the displayed action, and are in a playlist that supports Sprites. A Sprite that has never been extracted cannot be brought back through the resummon system.
You cannot use Sprites in the current match
Competitive modes do not support Sprites. Switch to an eligible playlist if you want to find, equip, level, or extract Quack.
