Fortnite Sidekicks are customizable companions that join players across Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, developer-made experiences, and more. Peels arrived through a Battle Pass, while Bonesy, Spike, Lil’ Raptor, and a cat-themed Sidekick were introduced through the Item Shop. Their reactions are cosmetic: Sidekicks do not detect enemies or items.
What are Fortnite Sidekicks?
Epic describes Sidekicks as “new pals in Fortnite that join your adventures in Battle Royale, LEGO® Fortnite, developer-made experiences, and more.” They react to the world around the player, but they are companions—not gameplay detection tools. Epic’s Bonesy listing explicitly says Sidekicks do not detect enemies or items.
Epic announced the feature on October 30, 2025. Sidekicks can appear in multiple Fortnite experiences, but the announcement does not specify that every Sidekick is available in every mode.
How do I get Peels, Bonesy, Lil’ Raptor, and cats?
Epic’s initial rollout used two acquisition routes: the Battle Pass and the Item Shop. The dates below are the announced release dates, not a guarantee that an item is currently available.

Can Sidekicks find enemies or items?
No. Sidekicks may react to their surroundings, but that behavior does not reveal enemies or items. Epic’s Bonesy listing explicitly rules out both forms of detection, so do not treat a companion’s reaction as a gameplay warning or scouting feature.
