Fortnite v39.40 was dated February 5, 2026, by Epic Games. Epic’s English ecosystem notes do not give a global release hour. A notice from Fortnite Japan, reproduced by a Japanese report, scheduled service downtime for 18:00 JST (09:00 UTC) that day, with matchmaking stopping shortly beforehand. That is a Japan-region downtime start—not a universal time when the update became playable.

UEFN’s UMG widgets can use Verse field events, allowing Verse to respond to user-triggered events such as a button click.
Custom debug keybinds and commands
Debug Commands support custom keybinds and add Change View Mode, Teleport to Aim Point, Change Team and Change Class. A custom bind consumes its assigned input while enabled; Epic says Enable Debug Input is off by default.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What changed in Save the World?
In Save the World, Power Rating now considers a player’s three highest-rated weapons across Weapon Schematics and weapons in the Backpack. Epic says this is intended to reflect weapon investment even when the strongest weapons are not being carried. Ventures remain on the previous calculation, based only on F.O.R.T. stats. The update post also lists fixes and known issues, including an obsolete Research tab reappearing and animation or interaction problems. See Epic’s Save the World v39.40 post.
