Yes, the Fortnite x Harry Potter collaboration is real, but it is not an upcoming release: Epic announced it in December 2025, and the Fortnite content arrived during Winterfest 2025. The event ended on January 5, 2026. The available official announcements do not confirm whether the outfits are in the Item Shop now or when they might return.
What Fortnite’s Harry Potter collaboration included
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Epic announced a Wizarding World activation spanning Fortnite, Rocket League, and the Epic Games Store. For Fortnite, the announced cosmetics included customizable outfits themed around all four Hogwarts houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. Wizarding World’s announcement described the Fortnite content as arriving December 18, 2025; Fortnite later included the outfits in its Winterfest 2025 announcement.
The announcement also described a separate Chocolate Frog Back Bling promotion: players had to spend at least two hours playing Hogwarts Legacy on the Epic Games Store by December 18, 2025. That was a time-limited promotion, not the same access route as the Fortnite outfits, and the cited announcement does not establish that it remains redeemable.
When the collaboration was released
Fortnite’s Winterfest 2025 ran from December 18, 2025, at 9 AM ET through January 5, 2026, at 9 AM ET. That event window has passed, so the collaboration should not be described as “coming soon” as of October 8, 2026.

How the leak became an official collaboration
On November 3, 2025, GameSpot reported that leakers said Harry Potter content was planned for Fortnite Chapter 7. At the time, Epic had not confirmed the claim, and the report cautioned that datamined material could be early or unfinished. Epic’s news archive later listed the official Harry Potter announcement on December 11, 2025. The early story was a leak report; the later collaboration was officially announced. GameSpot’s November report and Epic Games’ news archive document that chronology.
Can you get the Harry Potter outfits now?
The official announcements establish that the outfits were part of Fortnite’s Winterfest 2025 content, but they do not establish current Item Shop availability or a future return date. Epic’s archive confirms the announcement, not that the items are currently purchasable. Check Fortnite’s in-game Item Shop for current listings; do not rely on the past event dates as proof that the cosmetics are available today.
