The Fortnite x The Simpsons season launched on November 1, 2025, following a Springfield-themed live event. Both are over. The season brought an 80-player Springfield Island Battle Royale, Simpsons-themed rewards and weapons, and weekly animated shorts. The newer development is Disney’s June 2026 announcement that The Simpsons is joining Fortnite’s IP Partner Program, with a creator toolkit expected later in 2026—but no exact release date was given.
What happened in the Fortnite x The Simpsons live event?
Epic scheduled the live event for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT). It preceded the Simpsons-themed season launch. Those dates are historical, not upcoming event times. GameSpot reported that the season update was planned for around 5 p.m. ET after maintenance, while cautioning that the timing was not firm and could change. GameSpot’s contemporaneous schedule coverage covered the planned timing.
What did the update include?
Springfield Island Battle Royale
Epic described Springfield Island as an 80-player, fast-paced, back-to-basics Battle Royale experience. It offered a Simpsons-themed setting rather than a current, separately announced event mode. Epic’s November 1, 2025 launch announcement introduced the island and season.
Springfield Battle Pass and themed content
The season’s Springfield Battle Pass included premium reward outfits featuring Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and Springfielder Peely. Epic also announced Simpsons weapons in Delulu and a set of original animated shorts released weekly.

No. The dates for the special account-linking reward and Twitch Drop have passed.

- The Siiimpsooooons… Wrap: Epic listed a Twitch Drop for watching at least 30 cumulative minutes in the Fortnite category during the specified November 1–2, 2025 window. That viewing window has passed.

What is the latest Simpsons and Fortnite news?
On June 17, 2026, Disney announced that The Simpsons was joining Fortnite’s IP Partner Program. Disney said an official toolkit for Fortnite creators was expected later in 2026, with characters, locations, and assets prepared for Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). The announcement did not give an exact release date, so the toolkit should not be described as available without a subsequent official update. Disney’s announcement describes the partnership and expected toolkit.
Disney reported that more than 80 million players spent 780 million hours in the Fortnite | The Simpsons season last fall. Those are Disney’s figures, not independently audited numbers in the cited announcement. Disney also said the launch animated short reached No. 1 on Disney+ Top 10 Today in the US.
